I love my doctors, they where always very professional been going here for awhile and I’ve never been disappointed, very awesome and great doctors. The reviews will not amount to the service received here. They deserve 10.10

I would give him no stars, made me go for three visits before I could get a pap done and didn't even bother to give me my results.i work in the medical field and he was just trying to milk the insurance. Everything that was done could have been done in one visit. Don't bother, look for another obgyn.

Couldn't enter the room with my pregnant fiance for our first ultrasound. There was no way we were not going to experience this together.

I have been with Dr. Carstens office in Riverside since 2009. I have had nothing but the best experience. During my two pregnancies I saw Dr Carstens every visit unless he was called to the hospital. The office staff has always been extremely nice to me. Letty works in the back and he's always gone out of her way to be super friendly and always awesome. I've continued to go there for my annual visits. Now that my kids are older 10 and 7 I had to bring them into one of my visits for test results. When Letty saw I had the girls with me she was so excited to see how big they were. She had me bring into the room with me to surprise Dr Carstens. He was so excited to see them it made a really cool experience for my girls that they could meet the doctor that delivered them. Since November until now I've been to see Dr. Carstens 8 times, reason being getting ready to have a hysterectomy, it may not be going in there for pregnancy but I still get the best service and they're always extremely nice to me. But he always gives me the forms I need to get everything done for the pre-op and Dr Carstens is explaining every little detail to me. All the overall experiences I have had from pregnancy, annual visits to even going in there for UTIs and now a hysterectomy I've had over all the best experience and the service I get there has never changed.

This was the worst Dr. Ever back in 2005 I had toxemia. Instead of taking care of it and admitting me into the hospital. and give me a diuretics to get rid of all the liquid. he let it go on out during my whole pregnancy, and it cover all my organs I almost died. they had to resuscitate me at moreno valley community hospital . because he sent me home in that state, because I totally had an CHF ( congestive heart failure) . Then on top of that while in riverside community hospital after given birth to my son. I was having difficulties in breathing so they called the respiratory therapists and he cancel the order for them to show up to my room. So when I was discharged, I had to be admitted to moreno valley hospital. To be saved from all what happens to me, so please do not go to him he do not care about his patients. To me this place needs to be shut down and this Doctor . need to loose his medical license, he make good doctors who care about their patients. have bad names.

I should've checked the reviews before making an appointment at this sad excuse of an office. The nurses are rude, and instead of helping you (because you're obviously there for a reason) they'll make your life difficult. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else.

I was seeing them before COVID, so that's not why they aren't hat fast. There's a few weird things about this office. They never saw me sooner than 30+ minutes after my appointment time. When you made a new appointment, you didn't schedule with them, they decide for you and give you an appointment card. I probably could have rescheduled if I knew the future appointment wouldn't work for me, but the fact that they didn't consult with you FIRST was very odd to me. Dr. Carstens was very nice, an odd person but funny and kind. I didn't end up getting the surgery I was originally trying to, and then he retired recently. I would have liked for him to do it. But that just leaves the staff, who were never rude but the whole way the place was operated was not ideal. They had a nice bathroom, large one-person all-gender bathroom. Wouldn't really recommend.

This doctor's staff are the most discriminated humans I have ever met. I take my relative here because she has to go and they always give her attitude. I do not recommend no one to go here at all. Take Yourself to a better doctor. These people are racist, they threatened me and my child and kicked me out of the premises because my son brought a drink with him, a spill-proof drink, and told me to leave. I told them I could Throw away the bottle away because my relative couldn't speak English and I speak English to help her. Then I went outside to throw away my son bottle because I didn't have any other choice my son is only 2 years old, a baby, so I didn't want to go all the way to the car because the supervisor of the staff was being rude to me. When I come back I asked where did my relative and my child go they said they went to take her to a room so the doctor can take a look at her, I then asked May I go inside to get my child so my son Dosent cry and they said no you cannot go inside because you are not a patient here, but I then told her but I have my son inside please may I get my son. So then the supervisor then said to me well I will walk you inside to get your child. She opened the door, walked 1 door away from me and told me I have to ask your relative if he's allowing you inside the room. I was in distraught with what was happening in this moment on why she was being so rude. When we walk Into the room she told me there is no speaking spanish allowed in here...I became frozen standing there looking st her what did she just say to me? And I told her I was speaking to my relative so I can help her I understand what is going on in here. The lady is t older aged latina with black glasses. She herself spoke Spanish and then asked me in detailed,"grab your god dam child and leave this office right now or I will cal the police". And I was more like Wtf is going on. She said I can speak in Spanish myself to my patients in this office I don't need your translation. I told her that was fine but my relative felt more comfortable if I was there because she also had a little one there so I can help her out. The lady then said to me if you don't leave I will tell the police you threaten me. And I was in such disbelief to what was going on here. I understand that they didn't allow drinks inside which I easily threw away but on our way out after kicking me out she told me your Mexicans never listen this is what I voted for trump. I then told her I will call the medical board for this for such a racism and discrimination offense against me and my child. And I'm not even Mexican! I am Latina. As she walked me out I grabbed my child and she also said to me you ever come here again I will personally make sure you never walk upon the parking lot. I called the police but they couldn't do nothing because she didn't physically touch me but she did threat me verbally. She told me a This o to because I maybe got her annoyed, for a drink from a child who is only 2 years old. She even told me before slamming the door in front of me was that she will say what ever things to the police so they could take away my child and arrest me in from of the building embarrassing me... omg these people are evil! Racists! And most ugly attitudes eve. So I do not recommended Dr.Herman Carstens office and his staff. ! 9626 Brockton Ave Riversi

I forgot to mention this, but I think it's really important. This woman needs to be investigated. When I went to my first visit the White nurse practitioner impersonated the doctor. One of the lower nurses told me she will come in and do the exam. I said "she?" I told her I thought the doctor was a guy, and she immediately started panicking and she said no Dr. Carstens is a woman. I was confused but I said "okay" When that nurse practitioner came in she shook my hand and introduced herself as the doctor. That is crazy!!! Why is everyone lying? I've never seen this before. My 2nd appointment, she shook my hand & introduced herself with her real name. She was so rude at one point she put her hand in my face & told me to be quiet. She didn't want to write me a refill on birth control. She said "let me see if I have any prescriptions left" in a very nasty tone. I even heard her talking about me in the hall. I never got a consultation from anyone. I had to beg for the test I needed because she kept leaving. She didn't care. This woman shouldn't be practicing medicine.

This place should be shut down. Incompetent, unprofessional rude staff. I Iwas there for a bleeding problem but all the nurse practitioner wanted to talk about was a Pap smear. She didn’t even ask why I was there even though I had filled out their paperwork and then gave the same info to a young girl wearing jeans. The nurse practitioner actually kicked me out of the office for arguing with her over getting a pap smear. I’m a healthcare professional and spotted her BS from afar. She didn’t like that. I wouldn’t take my dog there!
