Hiromu Shoji's Online Review Report Card

Had my surgery on August 1 2019. Can tell you that he was an excellent doctor. After surgery I suffered some pain but nothing compared to the first surgery I had some years back. ( from another ortho) He took such good care of me he checked on me constantly. I wasn't pain free, I guess after the anaesthesia wore off he had the therapist come in and make me start walking I was afraid to but I did what they told me to and sure enough that helped take away some of the pain, don't get me wrong he did give me some pain medication but I didn't rely on that. I just listened to his instructions and believe me once you start walking and doing the exercise that they give you you are better off because it takes away most of the pain. So you listen to his instructions and he'll get you through it and I was up and about and walking right away. Thank you Doctor Shoji your the best.

Very rude and scatterbrained. He came in and out of the room mumbling and complaining 3 times without doing anything. He seemed mentally ill . I walked out without treatment.

Was extremely rude. Should retire. Crabby old man who refused to acknowledge my torn miniscus and delayed my much needed surgery for over a year, leaving me with permant damage.

Dr Shoji is a great doctor and vastly knowledgeable. He is very nice and a wonderful listener when you explain your issues. He doesn't rush you like a lot of other doctors and does in house scans on the spot which can be a pain if you're stretched on time. Nobody likes making multiple visits if you don't have to. I had serious shoulder pain which he treated successfully and I've been great ever since. I have seen him for other issues as well. If he thinks you need a specialist for a unique injury he will recommend someone great. On another occasion I had shoulder pain and thought I was just susceptible to injury in the gym because I'm a frequently in the gym. He found the issue from a slight variation on an X-ray and sent me to a great specialist. That situation turned out to need surgery. He is highly qualified for anything in his field of expertise. If he can't help you then you have something very specific outside of his field or your at the wrong type of doctor. I don't see how anyone would give him a great review. Definitely worth seeing.

I put my trust in the Dr. Shoji to me very good Dr. Had cortisone injections and didn't feel a thing will be having surgery on August 1st and thank you Awana you're very kind and you're helping me get through this thank you both

Having surgery on the 1st of August I put all my trust in Dr Shoj. My other surgeon was a nightmare different doctor though but this doctor very good gave me cortisone injections didn't feel a thing so I know I'm going to have some discomfort but I pray not as bad as the first one thank you Dr and your assistant edwanna I believe that's the way you say it not sure but you know who you are you're the best

This guy walked into the room grabbed my bad hand and I immediately pulled away cause I couldn't take the pain. He SCREAMED at me like a crazy psychopath then decided to shut the door so he could mute the yelling at me!!! (All of this within the first 3 minutes of meeting this coward) Then we proceed with just talking for a bit. He exams my arm and hand again......30 seconds. He asked me what medication I was taking so I handed him the bottle. He simply looked at it and said he was reporting me. (I'm thinking...for what????!!!!)I said "I don't know what your talking about. I don't abuse pills, I know I have dropped some in my purse a few times cause I can only use one hand"He grabbed my purse from me and I was yelling give me my things and do not ever touch my purse!! He pushed me back as I struggled to get my purse back. He still had the bottle of pills in his hand so he freed my purse and as I was picking up my things, he dumped my pills all out, counted them, grabbed his phone, did the math and I was 1 pill short. I literally just called the cops and they are on there way. Oh and the best part.......the one pill missing was on the bottom of my purse. If anyone goes to this place you are nuts!!!

this man is one hell of a doctor not much to say but his work needs no explanation very polite cool guy i am in the medical field and i don't run across many like him

I was referred to Dr. Shoji by my primary physician for treatment of a cyst in my left wrist that has caused me pain and limited my activities for 19 years. Within the first 3 minutes of meeting with me the doctor said there was "nothing" he could do for me and to contact his office if the cyst becomes more visible and then he will schedule me for surgery. Even after attempting to describe, despite him constantly interrupting me and basically yelling at me, the pain and affect this has had on my life, he said there was no options to do anything about my pain and I should try to "not use it". When I attempted to tell him it was impossible "not use" my left wrist because I am left handed and have to type and write everyday as part of my profession- he then said we "were talking in circles about nothing." After he said he would recommend my insurance send me somewhere else, basically insinuating that I was being difficult, I left his office in tears! Not one staff member in his office bothered to ask if I was okay or what the problem was as I made my "walk of shame" out of his office. Unless you want to be told that you basically don't know your own body and you enjoy being treated like any idiot who isn't worth listening to- I highly recommend you ask to be sent somewhere else. The only positive thing I can say is that I was seen promptly.
