I've gone to Dr. King for my 3 children, and now my 4th
Takes time to listen, Kathy is most helpful.sometimes the wait is longer than I'd like but I never feel rushed
Doctor king has been ny far the nest doctor throughout my pregnancy always make me feel confident
Dr. King is hands down the greatest OB/GYN I have ever been to. He is so caring and knowledgeable and never made me feel bad about being pregnant and 42 as well as having a host of other problems (high BP, excess weight, and eventually gestational diabetes). He was kind and encouraging and even though my pregnancy was high risk, I never felt like it. He delivered my son via repeat c-section after I'd gone into labor and to my delight I had less pain and bleeding than with my first c-section. Dr. King was/is FAR from "robotic" and was so sweet and involved. I can't say enough good things about his warm yet professional demeanor and exceptional bedside manner. I would HIGHLY recommend him.
He seems to read from a script. Seems like he assumes you are a statistic of your age group. i.e. if you are 45, your must be premenopausal, even if you have no change in your period since you were 20 or any symptom of menopause. His nurse is anti-birth control; why is she working with an OBGYN? Also, why do you even know she is anti-birth control? When you want medical information to make a decision, she should not even be giving an opinion or sound sarcastic, just state the facts. I don't care if she would take the medication or not. Why isn't the doctor giving that information to begin with? If you go to him, you have to ask the questions because he does not offer any extra information. He will state something, but you have to ask what it means (good or bad). Thank goodness his partner (?) was on call when I delivered my baby, plus the nurse on call at the hospital was fantastic!
Dr. King has delivered all 3 of my kids and I think he is one of the best gyno's out there that's the reason I kept going back to him I live like 45 minutes away but the drive is worth it I'm now pregnant with my 4th and last and without a doubt he will be taking care of this pregnancy too. My pregnancies are high risk and he always knows what to do. I can truly say I completely trust him with my life.
Dr. King delivered my first because he was the Dr on call that night. He had great bedside manner, and really listened. So when I became pregnant a second time and found out that my Dr. was no longer practicing I went to Dr. King, the front and back office girls are very nice. I hit a couple bumps in the road in personal life while pregnant and his nurse was nice enough to listen to me and comfort me, when I broke down one visit, when she simply asked me how I was doing. Yes there was a time or two my appointment had to be rescheduled, but babies come when they want. Dr. King and I discussed birth control options for once baby was born (I got pregnant on the pill while being perscribed an antibiotic when I got sick) I desided on the Mirena IUD, he put it in at my 6 week check up, that was 4 years ago in 7 weeks I have had no problems or complications with it and I know that due to his expierence!!! Love him and would refer everyone to him!!
I have been a patient of Dr. King's for two years. He was my OB when I miscarried my first pregnancy, and was very kind and sensitive toward my husband and me. He performed a D&C since I did not miscarry on my own (it had been 5 weeks since pregnancy failure) and I had very little pain. He also performed an emergency cervical cerclage for my next pregnancy due to an incompetent cervix and put me on bedrest. I had no complications from the surgery and very little spotting and bleeding. During bedrest, I researched natural birth and decided upon one at RCH with a doula. I had many questions for him, all of which I feel he answered honestly, even though he thought I was going over-board for wanting a natural birth. I did end up with a pitocin-induced labor, which I was disappointed about (although no epidural), and an episiotomy at his discretion that extended to a 4th degree tear. Bottom line: Dr. King is a very competent surgeon and a nice man. Hire a midwife if you want a NCB.
i loved dr king. he was the best. i have high blood pressure and he moniterd my pregnancy so great. he always made feel comfortable and always reaasured me that my baby was gonna do great. he delivered two of boys by c-section. and when at hospital he always came to me after the procedure to make sure i was fine and told me about my babies. he was also very friendly. i dont think he ws robotic as others say. i would recommend him to any of my friends.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
