List of John Allavie's Reviews
I had gone to a optometrist. Then went to Dr. Allavie. My issue was medical which wasn't advised by the other. I was having bad tunnel vision, which I needed surgery as I had a large mass, up inside my nasal cavity. Thank you Dr. Allavie, I recommend him. I also recommend Dr. Jung who did the surgery.
I was concerned about my vision getting worse but Dr. Allevie spent a lot of time reassuring me that all was good. Sitting down and speaking plainly to me was so important. I left feeling so much better.
Surgery outcome not to my liking..
Dr. Allavie may be good at treating some conditions but sure failed in my department! Diagnosed me with condition called bird-shot. Brushed it off as not a lot you can do about it. Said he'd seen one other women with it in his 30+ yrs experience. Basically, he said there was a retina specialty group from Palm Springs that occasionally come to riverside. Gave me a brochure about this outfit and sent me on my way. Needless to say I'm now going to USC every 3 months for steroid injections in my eyes to try to maintain my vision. In a nutshell sadly disappointed with Dr. Allavie. Sorry not impressed with his bedside manner nor his knowledge.
Terrible dotor, worst dortor ever, does not listen to the patients, if I can I give him -5 start

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
