List of John J Kane's Reviews
Dr. Kane is an excellent physician caring and well informed We’ve been his satisfied patients for decades. His office staff are less helpful. I’ve had problems more than once having bloodwork orders coded properly so that Medicare will pay. Staff at the lab tell me this is an issue that could be resolved at the Dr.’s office but his staff seems clueless at best. I also find that information given to staff fails to reach the Dr. and it is virtually impossible to reach him without going through staff.
I have been going to Dr. Kane for 23 years. He is never an alarmist and always provides me medical and natural support. Wealth of knowledge on the most recent studies and has kept me healthy with his professional advise. He can be difficult to get in to see, so have to be persistent
Well , I heard Dr. Kane is very kind and excellent Physician and my husband likes him.But his secretary Robbin is a nightmare!!Very rude and very unprofessional!!!I called at 830 in the morning to inquire on tests results that needed to be sent to the neurosurgeon and she just point blank shut me off.
I have had Dr. Kane as my Primary Physician for the better part of three years now and I have had nothing but positive experiences with both him and Robin. Robin is kind and diligent, but I can tell she will likely not tolerate rudeness or hostility, and rightly so. I would not know, as I have never approached her with anything but kindness and respect, and have been given nothing but kindness and respect in turn. Dr. Kane is knowledgeable, open, insightful, a great conversationalist, and does not rush to conclusions on any diagnoses, prescriptions, or recommendations. When I approached him with a concern and possible "self-diagnosis", he ran all of the appropriate tests and went above and beyond to make sure we figured out the issue. Beyond the standard medical tests, he had me do some further research (including a couple of book recommendations) and I then came back to him to review the test results and talk about what I had seen and learned through his recommended readings and research. Only then did he make any sort of diagnosis. He then continued to work with me to make sure how I was approaching any treatment went beyond simply having the right prescription. I highly recommend Dr. Kane to anyone looking for a new PCP!
Dr Kane really listens to you and explains exactly his thought process when diagnosing. He is the best dr I’ve ever seen.
Doctor Kane is a excellent physician with lots of experience.
I have seen Dr Kane for many years now. I have never had a better primary care doctor. He is always on top of it and there has never been any problem communicating with him. The nurses and/or aids are also great each and every time I go there. They are friendly and professional. The back office is always outstanding. The problem occurs when it's time to schedule an appointment. The receptionist Robin is rude, unpleasant, very difficult to deal with, untrustworthy, and seems to think she is the person who gets to decide if you get to see Dr. Kane. She seems to have some control issues as well as being extremely judgmental. I have had to call the back office on several occasions to get a timely appointment or any appointment at all. It seems as though she judges if you are worthy to see the doctor and if she deems you unworthy you don't get in and are told to go to urgent care. This has happened several times. On one occasion I needed a letter from the Dr. I submitted the required paperwork and paid a small fee. A short time later I started calling about the letter and always got the same response. 'The item is on his desk and will be done as soon as he is able. Finally a year later when I saw the Dr. I asked him about it. He had no knowledge of the letter at all. After telling him about the letter and how I was treated it was in my hand in 10 minutes It turned out Robin never gave him the request to start with.I know of many complaints about her but somehow she is still there. Dr Kane is outstanding, Just be aware of the creature at the front desk.
Dr. Kane is great however, the older lady who works up front is an absolute miserable and rude person. She wouldn't allow me to make an appointment for my dad until I physically had his new ID card in hand even though his insurance sent temporary cards and told me to call right away. She argued with me over the phone about getting a referral insisting that she was right. After spending 2 hours on the phone with the insurance, medical group and main case manager nurse, I was right about needing the referral to come from Dr. Kane. The nurse even said this lady is overboard with her actions. She is rude, mean, doesn't care about about patients or their well being and should not be working in the medical field. Do not listen to her and do not let her keep you from seeing a good dr. I feel sorry for her!
Dr. Kane is amazing can tell you what's wrong right away. Offers different alternatives for your well being. Very understanding and believes in home remedies that I really like that about him.
Great DR

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
