I saw Dr Dhoot after a trip to the ER for a bleed inside my eye. The hospital ER doc recommended another doctor in the Harvard Eye group to rule out retinal detachment. When I called to make an appointment, the scheduler directed me to Dr Dhoot, as a retinal specialist. After being shuffled around the facility for preliminary information intake and testing (lots of walking here which was difficult when recovering from foot surgery), I saw Dr Dhoot. She was cold and perfunctory. The exam seemed fairly thorough, but she had no time to listen to me or to answer questions. Instead she stated that the retina seemed fine, but that I should come back in 6 weeks to a) see if the floaters in my eye dissipated and b) to have a comprehensive exam for possible glaucoma. That was totally unexpected! After dropping the glaucoma bombshell, 3 times she was half way out the door as I was asking questions ... and then she was gone. No thank you Dr Dhoot! I will not return to Dhoot or HarvardEye

Dr Dhoot is a gem. Best bedside manners. Extremely knowledgeable. I wish more doctors share her values.
