I had to go to Sutter ER because of my asthma and I was having chest pains. The care in the emergency room was ok, basically just monitored for 4+ hours. The dr. who initially saw me was great! I'm a senior with 85% hearing loss, I wear a hearing aid, but with distortion, it's difficult. He didn't have a problem, he came to my right side so I could hear better. Very accommodating. Thank you doctor. After being monitored for 4+ hrs, I was told by the nurse that I could go home. It was after Midnight. I asked for assistance to call me a cab because I don't have an active cell phone, can't hear on one. The nurse said we don't do that for you. She basically walked me to the front desk and said "there's the phone and here's the numbers (a list taped on the counter), just go down the list until you find someone." I told her I could not be able to make out what was being said over the phone because it was not a hearing assistive phone (like I have at home). She said "you've been hearing me fine and she walked off. Oh WOW- DOES SHE NOT KNOW THAT A HEARING AID DOESN'T WORK OVER THE PHONE!!! So I told her if I couldn't understand, I would just walk home (over 5 miles). And- 2 receptionists were at the desk- do you think they would assist a senior with a severe hearing disability at midnight and basically take less than 1 minute to talk to a cab Company for me. I managed to make out some of what was being said and the cab driver was understanding. I walked outside and waited for the cab- excellent service from Roseville Cab Company.

My Grandma on October 20th 2023, got a hemorrhage stroke and they to her to that hospital and while they were doing x-rays, my dad noticed that my grandma's lips were turning blue (she was dying) because she wasn't breathing and when he told the doctors, they quickly did ventilation and they saved her life. She had 20 seconds to survive or else, she would die. And I'm so happy that my grandma is alive. HUGE thank you Sutter Health roseville doctors 🙏 ❤️
Sutter ER was great despite the bad reviews. Everyone was friendly and great at what they did. Got seen on a Sunday in 20 minutes and we were there less than 2 hours total with EKG and CT scan for my son. I was pleasantly surprised!!!
If you can avoid coming here at the ER, please do. It was a horrible experience, with extremely long wait times, unprofessional registration staff, phlebotomists, and security. They kept giving us the runaround and after hours of waiting, the original doctor in the triage never documented anything that she ordered. We’ve been to other hospitals and this was by far one of the worst experiences. The registration staff needs to remember why they work in healthcare because their attitude and lack of care is absolutely pathetic. I would never trust any of them with my family’s life. I am a healthcare provider myself, and I’ve worked at the VA hospital, and never would I have the audacity to ever treat a patient like they don’t matter. Respect and professionalism is lacking here and they need to do something about it before I report them to the medical board. I encourage the management to find the staff more support and work on retraining before someone’s life gets taken too soon due to poor negligence on the hospital staff’s part.
ABSOLUTELY NO WHERE TO PARK. EVERY SINGLE SPOT TAKEN. Drove around for almost 2 hours and not a single available spot. Might as well be dead because you will never find a parking spot. They need to fix the parking. Can't expect people to walk 2 miles if they can even find a parking spot.
WHY DO YOU HAVE THE GRILL IN THE CAFETERIA FROM 1pm-8pm?!! I have to get my mother who is ill food from restaurants far away? Some people don't want all premade sandwiches, salads, and other things you know? they want real hot food
I was taken to Sutter after a severe car accident. Immediately the nurses jumped into action and got me ready for surgery. I had broken my ankle and my knee. The days I spent there I was well cared for and the doctors explained everything they performed during surgery. I was never in any pain. I spent 3 months in a wheelchair but recovered better than I was before the accident. Thank you to orthopedics.I was able to get my mobility to 110%. You can hardly see a scar on my ankle.
Sutter Roseville ER is a mess. 1. Per the instructions of Sutter Advice Nurse, I went into ER for acute pain. The ER doctor ran one test ruled out one issue, ran blood work then had the nurse come and hand me discharge papers. No discussion with doctor, no diagnosis, no after care instructions, no treatment plan and I was in pain and could barely walk. 2. The doctors and nurses freely discuss your medical condition in the waiting room. They are using the general waiting room as the patient's treatment room. There is absolutely no concern for patient privacy. I witnessed many HIPAA violations. We have our right to Privacy under "Patients Bill of Rights". This was violated. 3. After completion of the tests, the doctor never discussed test results or met with me. Crutches were not offered or suggested and I could barely walk. 4. A few nurses treated people terribly. Very rude and nasty. I witnessed absolutely no compassion or care. They are violating "Patients Bill of Rights" under state and federal law. 5. The charge nurse was pleasant but did nothing other than listen and talk to the doctor. When I asked to file grievance I was given a business card 916-781-1348. I called it and voicemail was full. (I called again today and left a voicemail letting them know I want to file a grievance. It has been over 24 hours with no return call). I requested an ombudsman and was told that they didn't have one on campus. 6. I continued to press that I needed to have some sort of explanation of how to manage the pain as the doctor refused to provide pain pills and what I was supposed to do once home. A supervisor came out and talked to me. She was pleasant and wrote down a schedule for Tylenol and Motrin. I don't believe that she was a doctor or nurse yet providing me with medical advice. 7. I was given Norco in ER. They discharged me without asking if I had someone to drive me home. I left ER limping, in pain and without any explanation of what is going on, how to manage it and what to watch out for. I realize that science isn't exact but I expect to have some sort of explanation of what is going on when I am discharged. That's what I am paying for. I transferred from Kaiser to Sutter and have never witnessed an ER so poorly run. Members of this team are incompetent.
Wow. Healthcare has really changed for the worse. From the nurses to the front desk staff, they just aren't nice people. You no longer get the feeling that people work in health because it's their passion or they care.. it's truly just for money and profit. Sutter is the perfect example of why hiring a certain type of employee and vetting your employees is so important. It's really sad and depressing

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
