The best doctor I ever had good doctor friendly good listener to you not like other doctor care about you and your health and healing

For some reason, Dr. Factor is leaving his practice with Sutter. He sent a form letter to my 97 yr old dad (probably his oldest patient), to tell my dad that Dr. Factor was leaving his practice and would refer his patients to a new resident (which was interesting that it was not a referral to an established physician). This "form" letter was very disappointing as I hoped he would send a more personal note. I am frankly somewhat relieved as well from a daughters (and a registered nurse) perspective as a couple of years ago, during an office visit, Dr. Factor told my dad and me that he thought my dad had metastatic prostate cancer (without any diagnostic tests such as an MRI) when in fact, my dad had only chronic constipation). I wish I could have told Dr. Factor this in person though because he left so abruptly, I am not able to.

I was hesitant to leave Kaiser after so many years, but after my visit with Dr. Factor with his very attentive ear and teamwork mentality, I can not express how much more comfortable I am with this decision. He was patient, listened to my concerns, asked questions to learn more, clarified to make sure we both understood the same, was kind ad I never felt rushed. I felt as though he respectfully listened to my needs and will be an active teammate in maintaining my health. I was quite happy with my experience with Dr Factor and his staff.

I absolutely could not be happier with my experience with Dr Factor. He listened to my concerns, took time with my history, and never made me feel rushed. He allowed me to lead the appointment (it was a new patient appt) and worked with me on a plan to achieve goals as well as let me know he would continue to review my history over the next few weeks. I was nervous leaving Kaiser, but I feel after this appointment it was the right decision.

Dr. Factor took the time I needed to thoroughly discuss my medical issues and review all of my prescriptions. He recommended prescription changes for my chronic pain to try to improve my use of medications and their effect on my general well-being. He will monitor the results of the changes with additional visits and make changes if needed.

Dr. Factor sees my father and he is very kind and really makes my Dad comfortable. He is really great at educating about conditions so that we can understand. I would definitely recommend this doctor.

We went to the same doctor for 15 years and had to switch and we were devastated. We chose Dr Factor and he has never disappointed. He actually cares which is hard to find these days. He is dependable, gives thought and backs up everything he recommends, is professional yet kind. We are thrilled we found him!

I've been a patient with Dr. Factor for more than 20 years, and he is one of the best physicians I have ever had. And I'm very particular about choosing providers. Like most doctors, he occasionally runs late -- either because of an emergency --or because he takes some extra time with his patients. Whenever I've gotten sick, he saw me right away. When I was diagnosed with cancer, Dr Factor stayed in the loop and helped me even though other providers were in charge of the cancer care. So, even if he runs late sometimes -- it is worth the wait. Many of his staff have been with him for years. That says a lot. He treats his patients with dignity and respect, and as a whole person, rather than a condition. He gets to know you. Everyone I have ever talked with in his waiting room loves him and the care they receive from him and his staff. He listens. He thinks. He puts together the big picture for you based on all if your health concerns. If he doesn't know something, he researches it and meets with other providers to be able to give his patient the best care possible. He discusses options rather than telling the patient what to do. In short -- Dr. Factor and staff ROCK!

I like Dr. Factor. He is very thorough with all tests and takes time to go over them with you. He is one of the few doctors who doesn't "rush" you through your appointment. He takes his time and listens, let's you talk and answers all your questions. Very happy with him.
