If I have a choice of no star or negative I WILL do so. The communication with this office is so so so bad I will file complain to the hospital as well

In January 2020, I had a severe asthma attack and landed in Sutter Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit for 8 days. Dr. Ikeda and staff cared for me and found the right medicines to return me to health so I could leave the hospital. Dr. Ikeda and staff are very efficient, knowledgeable and professional. I could not ask for better care.

Because of Dr Ikeda’s misdiagnosis, mistreatment, shortsightedness, and poor critical thinking abilities I have permanent damage to my lungs. He only looked to the obvious in diagnosing the problem. When treatment did not work he persisted in giving me more and stronger meds to treat the same. He did not really look to see why the meds didn’t work. If he had looked further he would not have missed testing for the real problem. The time wasted, the misdiagnosis and the incorrect prescription of multiple meds all exacerbated my problem. I now have permanent damage that will be with me for life. There is no cure.

If I could give no stars or negative stars I would This doctor has extremely unsatisfactory bedside manner unbelievably callus and highly unprofessional He gave inaccurate health information then backtracked and lied about it to cover himself. Im not sure how he is still employed with Sutter he is definitely a liability to the association.

Dr. Daniel Ikeda is a very knowledgeable Pulmonary Specialist. He is very personable and has always taken time to listen to my questions and concerns as a patient and give me accurate and professional advise in response. I would never go to anyone else in the Sacramento area as long as he is available. I would rate him 5-stars!

This heartless gem of a doctor refused to see me because my illness was too hard to treat, and would require too much follow up. His medical license should be revoked.

Staff did not know how to advise patient on where and how to get required testing done. Up to patient to figure out what to do and where to go after patient found they didn't know how to test. Never told me my insurance would not cover testing - no info at all -- they didn't even let me know I was supposed to have courses of antibiotics beforehand. Post treatment, once the doctor figured disease was resolved, he had zero time to answer questions regarding potential for recurrance (common with this insect-caused disease. Lousy experience overall and have found another doctor.
