Great until after my session - After my 4th picosure session, I was told to schedule an appointment for 2 months (which I thought was a followup apt to show me my results and before/after pictures). Got to the apt, the nurse walked me in and asked if I'm getting more sessions in which I said "No, I'm not planning on to anytime soon!". She left, came back in and started putting numbing cream on my face and I thought they wanted to remove any remaining SunSpots (which was why I decided to get laser) as part of the follow-up. Doc(which I like) came in gave me a weird look like I'm back and proceeded with the laser. Once done, I went to check out and asked if I need to schedule a followup - to see improvements and again hoping to compare before/after pictures. The clerk look at me weird and said "you owe $600 today"...confused I asked her why am I paying for this and that I thought this was a follow up apt and that I even told the nurse I'm not buying more session (Please note that I had lost my wallet at SMF 2 days prior returning from vaca). I said I didn't know I'm paying for this and that I do not have any payment methods on me. Then the Accounting person (I believe she's in Accounting) came, gave me a smirk look like I'm trying to run from a free meal and said "You have a checking account/a bank, couldn't you go there and get a cashier/money order?" If I could, I would have just pulled out the cash to pay you! Given I could have went home, grab my checkbook and pay for it, but I was just sooo livid that I had to pay for something I didn't intend to get!!! I thought this was part of my follow up since I still had sun spots on my face. I told them I couldn't do it until I get my new card and i will call them for the payment. They were nice enough to say I can do that once I get my card. I love that some of my sun spots went away, but there are certain areas where I feel like is darker after my laser than before all of the treatment. I feel like there is no follow up to show me the difference after my treatment!!! I'm sooo disappointed and upset that I had to pay for a session that I never agreed too and that there is no follow up on my procedure at all. It is a shame as I do love their business...
I have complete trust in Dr Tanghetti. I feel like he has saved my life from the ravages of skin cancer and shared his secrets to keep my face as soft and young as a baby's bum.
I have to say Dr. Tanghetti's the greatest!
Excellent medical practice experience. Dr. Tanghetti is not only the best in his field, but his manner, his attitude and his compassionate nature combine to provide patients with the best care and positive experience. From simple skin care to serious conditions, the team at Dr. Tanghetti's office will help you manage the issue. Thanks to people like Shawn and the other staff, appointments & visits are made simple and stress free.
Dr. Tanghetti is extremely gifted and knowledgeable, whether you simply want to improve your skins appearance because of age or sun damage, or you want to confirm that spot or mole isn't a sign of a life threatening cancer. The office staff is professional and talented, and I always leave glad that I went. Don't assume that new spot or bump is harmless, or that nothing can be done to improve your skin's health and appearance. I have been a patient for many years with several visits for a variety of reasons and I trust him entirely and highly recommend him.
Absolutely terrrible! Steer away from this office! I had a first appointment, I have extremely sensitive skin and I have adult acne. The day I went for my appt I had two pimples the "doctor" walked in and saw me for exactly 30 seconds and said "no no no I don't work with patients with active acne, reschedule to have THAT fixed first" left and I had to pay $100! I tried to talk to the receptionist that he barely talked to me and didn't prescribe anything, but I still had to pay. I left crying. Worst most unprofessional people ever! Don't go there!
I started coming here 5-6 years ago. He is great dermatologist. I have been seeing Amanda for micro needling and laser procedure. She is great in what she does. Highly qualified. Ronnie at the skin center is great too. Highly recommended this office
I began seeing Dr. Tanghetti 7 years ago, In that time he has found two melanomas requiring MOHR surgery. Because Dr. Tanghetti diagnosed them early I have not suffered permanent disfiguration. Both were on my face. I thank him and applaud his competence and professional demeanor. He is without doubt one of the best if not the best dermatologists in Northern California. I thank him everytime I look in a mirror and still have my nose and a left side to my face. Lucas Hess
I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Guaranteed there are much more empathetic and approachable places to entrust with your health and money. The first appointment I had with this physician, I was dealing with a rash around my breast area and I was looking for a topical cream prescription. He asked me if it was bothering my boyfriend. An irrelevant and unprofessional question to ask while pinpointing course of treatment. Healthcare is not about anyone else but the patient. Very antiquated approach to care. Fast forward a year and some change.. My prescription had expired and I needed to see him again to renew it, but by the date of the second appointment, I had found an alternative (and affordable OTC) solution. (In my opinion, if he really cared about his patients more than the money, he would've recommended it to me in the first place.) When I called to cancel the appointment that I thought was at noon, the receptionist was extremely ill-mannered with me because I had written down the time of my appointment wrong and had actually missed it. Don't work in a customer service position if you don't have the energy to show compassion to people.
I would give zero stars if possible. My acne recently took a turn for the worse. I started getting cystic acne along with other blemishes. I worked very hard to build up a little confidence, telling my self “it’s not that bad” and reminding myself that it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Dr.Tanghetti quickly tore down all of that confidence with his rude remarks and savior attitude. I wish I would have walked out on my appointment, but I was desperate to get a cyst treated, which he did treat. I left feeling absolutely terrible about the way I looked. In addition, I felt uncomfortable around him. I read another comment that described it perfectly, “creepy vibes”. It’s safe to say that I will never come back and that I wouldn’t recommend him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
