Well, had bariatric surgery back in 2006. Dr Machado kept an eye on me for 5 years for a statistics. I'm still doing great entering 2024! Saw her once a few years ago at Mercy San Juan and she recognized me bless her heart, even though I was smaller! Wonderful situation fantastic doctor

I am a patient of Dr Machado and Sacramento Bariatric. My surgery was nearly a year ago and I’m down 87 pounds! Dr Machado, Lori and Clover gave me all the tools and advice needed to be successful after WLS. I was able to take my life back and I’m never looking back! I highly recommend Dr Machado and Sacramento Bariatric. It will change your life ❤️

Dr. Machado is a wonderful bariatric surgeon and health coach. She walks you through every step of the process with kindness and compassion. He experience in this field speaks for her dedication to helping her patients achieve health and a lifestyle that will make life more fulfilling. I had gastric bypass 3 months ago, I am much more active and feel so much better in addition to losing the weight that was keeping me down.

I had surgery 04/2021 and have been super successful due to the care of Dr. Machado, Lori and Clover. My insurance has covered everything when it came to billing just my regular co payment. They truly know what they are doing and care about the patients.

Dr Machado saved my life. Her Skills a Bariatric Surgeon are only out matched by her Compassion and Caring for her Patients. I struggled for years with my weight trying every diet, trick and Magic Pill imaginable. Not until I realized (with the guidance of my Cardiologist) that I couldn't do it on my own did I seek out the Best Bariatric Surgeon . At my heaviest recorded weight I was 469. I have lost over 220 pounds and regained my Health and My Life . The process is not easy but nothing worthwhile ever is. You have to have Commitment for yourself ,your Surgeon and her Awesome Staff. Everyone at Sacramento Bariatric Medical Associates is Awesome and are there to help you Succeed. Dr Laura Machado along with Lori B. (Nutritionist) and Clover are the best team a person ready to make a life change can have. They don't just give you surgery and wish you well. The team will give you the tools needed such as monthly zoom meetings, FB page for patients, collaboration group anything one may need, as they would like to see you succeed. Patients success ranges up to 20+ years out and still are actively participating in FB and Meetings. Dr. Machado is very passionate and constantly participating in obesity clinics and studies. Thank you Team you are much appreciated!

I am one of the few whose issue was a broken metabolism. Dr. Machado explained that gastric bypass would fix my metabolism as well as many other things. I was so afraid it wouldn’t work, but it did. I had the procedure 10/2017 and still have a functioning metabolism! Her care plans and follow-up are the absolute best. I know others that had the surgery in other states and they had zero care plans and follow-up. I later needed emergency surgery for a twisted bowel and internal hernia and Dr. Machado came to the rescue once again and had me in surgery that same day. She is fantastic and REALLY cares. She is a rare gem of a doctor and anyone who sees her will not regret it for a minute.

I highly recommend Dr. Machado for bariatric surgery. She doesn’t just do your surgery and send you on your way. She has a strong follow up program to support you through your weight loss journey and a wonderful dietitian (Lori) on staff to meet with you regularly. If you’re ready to invest in yourself and get the weight off, this is the right surgeon and staff to be with!
