Uc Davis Health Point West Clinic's Online Review Report Card

First time PT patient!! I've been experiencing neck pain and self-diagnosed myself with 'tech neck' after nearly 8 years working a computer job. I got a referral and once that went through, I called to make an appointment. I was able to get one SAME DAY. I came in the afternoon, parking lot was looking full but I was able to snag a spot close to the entrance. I walked in and PT is on the first floor, nice! I got checked in pretty smoothly and I didn't have a co-pay but we will see if I get hit with a bill later down the road. I did not have to wait that long before I was called in, probably less than 3 minutes. I had an evaluation with MF and she was great! Super professional and taught me a handful of stretches and movements to perform. She felt my neck, checked my mobility, and watched how I would work from home standing. MF gave me a lot of tips and printed out a sheet so that I can reference when I'm at home. She gave me all the tools; now it's on me to change my posture and tight pec muscles. I hope that I don't need to come back to PT because hopefully, I take everything that MF taught me and implement it into my daily routine and create a routine for myself. I think it's important to do a PT visit because we can get lost on the internet just doing random arm stretches or buying a neck massager when we really need to stretch our chest, build upper back muscles, and work on our posture. I can't comment on the doctors or other staff, perhaps they are great, I can only express my extreme disappointment at the reception. I have tried 4 times to get my referral sent to this office to be a new physical therapy patient. The people I talked to were generally helpful with giving me tips on how to get this referral in since it was having trouble coming in from my GP's office (different fax numbers, etc.). But when I called for the fourth time, the person I talked to was rude and unhelpful right off the bat. Not only did they not want to look into another fax number they were unfamiliar with (that a coworker of theirs gave me) but when I asked if they could check with someone else they hung up on me. Perhaps it is for the best to not be a patient here if that is what I had to look forward to!

Areas are clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Doctors and their Assistants are knowledgeable, ask questions, let patients ask questions, and make sure you are in agreement with treatment, if needed.

I waited on the phone for exactly 54 minutes before being able to speak with a scheduler. Finally got through and was given an appointment in Davis (not Sacramento as requested.) It was NOT recorded in MyChart, so I’m starting all over. Disappointing to say the least.

I called 3 days beforehand & talked of specific details of what I needed in a mobility cart. I took a community transit bus 100 miles 2 1/2 hours to get there. I need an off-road wheelchair. I made it perfectly clear I didn’t want or need a Walmart, or grocery store type mobility cart. 20 people wanted to use the bus that day and were denied because I had to make my appointment to Sacramento. I was the sole rider. When I got there, they told me all they could get me is a grocery store type cart. The appointment lasted 10 minutes. It wasn’t so much that I was disappointed as 20 seniors were cheated out of a ride to town in our community bus so I can make my appointment. It was all for nothing.

Took my dad to see his Health Care Provider Referral She was Excellent took her time examining him explaining all his options made sure he understood was a very caring Provider place was spotless, huge waiting area windows in the corner let in a lot of natural light and it has two flat screen T.V. one was the largest I have ever seen lol front staff was awesome

I had an excellent experience at the UC Davis Orthopedic Center Point West location with Physician Assistant Steven Perinovic. He thoroughly reviewed my medical history, took time to explain my osteoarthritis in both knees, and clearly discussed the multiple treatment options available. We ultimately proceeded with injections, and Steven was highly skilled and professional throughout the process — I felt very well cared for. The clinic itself is beautiful, and the entire staff is professional, friendly, and compassionate. I highly recommend Steven Perinovic and the UC Davis Orthopedic team for anyone seeking expert orthopedic care.
