I reluctantly pursued the search for a surgeon to help w knee issues. My 3rd try found me in Salinas w Dr. Doornick. The immediate difference from my other appointments was that he actually LISTENED before he made the assessment. He was thorough, specific and patient while addressing all my concerns. The surgery was a great success, recovery exceptional and his expertise left me w a minor scar compared to other patients I had observed. Do yourself a favor a trust Dr Doornick and SVMH.

Dr. Doornik is a very skilled surgeon, possesses great beside manners, is very attentive, helpful, honest, and encouraging. His approach is kind and individualized for each patient needs. He doesn't practice "cookie cutter" medicine. I trust him completely and would highly recommend him as an Orthopedic Surgeon. My knee arthroscopy went exactly as he had explained it and prepared me for. His follow up is fantastic. He is very professional but also very personable. His sense of humor, though subtle at times, really makes me feel more comfortable asking any question!

Went for knee injury related to running years ago.Very nice doctor, take time listen to your complaint. Exam throughout, nice manner, solf spoken. Will recommend Dr. Doornik without hesiatation.

Unprofessional! He gave us two diagnosis without much basis or fully answering our questions. We tried several times contacting him and left various messages without any response. He referred us to another specialist, it took two weeks and several phone calls to get a follow up appointment. His clinic conducted the same exam twice without any justification. When Dr. Doornick finally decided to respond he referred me back to our main doctor to answer our questions, we waited another whole week to hear from him. Bills do come in on time by the way, if that helps anyone.

I had a swollen bursa sac in my left knee that was very painful. I had fallen down on my knee and that cause the bursa sac to swell up. Dr. Doornick was able to bring the swelling down with just one well placed injection, and the pain went away when the swelling was gone. He is best for knees and elbows but may also work on other areas of the body. Very happy I went to see him for my knee issue.
