Starting to think that they use fake skin tests, but they should investigate Dr. More's medical office.
I have never written a review about a doctor or a medical clinic, but I have had such poor experiences with this doctor and his staff in Monterey, as well as unfulfilled promises from the staff in Salinas, I can't resist. Most of my experiences have been similar to those expressed in all of the other reviews of both Dr. More and the Central Coast Allergy & Asthma regarding wait times and communication (or lack thereof) with the staff. I also wonder if they aren't all about collecting the money rather than actually serving their patients. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour for a scheduled appointment at one visit. In the end, I have been waiting for results of tests that seemed pretty critical to my health, but they seem to be more interested in being paid the balance they are due than communicating the information that is important to me. I'd gladly pay the balance if they would follow through and provide the results of all the tests I had done! Seems they are in the habit of leaving patients hanging out to dry. I'd give them a -1 star if given the option.
The office staff was respectful. Dr. More was very helpful and not in a hurry. He answered questions I had.
he is wonderfull! He listens to you and is obviously very good at his job. Its been a long time since ive walked out of a dr appt and said " now that was time well spent!". Hes the best .

Excellent doctor, zero complaints. He listened to me, took my concerns seriously, and was very thorough in identifying and treating my problems. And he's a pleasant guy, too. Wish I had such luck with my other doctors.

My experience with Dr. More (we now think of him as Dr. Less) and his office was terrible. I have never written a negative review before as I have never had such mistreatment. At the suggestion of my primary care doctor, I tried to schedule a skin test with Dr. More. I had to wait almost an hour and then was told I needed a skin test (!) and should schedule another appointment. When I returned, I again had to wait almost an hour (another patient there was also stuck with an hour's wait & was very upset); when I got the test, finally, the assistant so busy with others, he kept dropping me and returning with "now, where were we?" The indifference to patients was so obvious, I never returned for my results but had them sent to my primary care doctor. My husband, who is a professional, called the doctor just to inform him about this problem but Dr. More could not be bothered to return the call. I spoke to 3 other doctors about his behavior: one said we shouldn't pay, one said take him to small claims court, one said let people know on the internet. But there's more. We never were billed in 2014, the year of our visit and when I had funds in my health savings plan for the purpose. We assumed the doctor had too much pride to bill for such shoddy service. But 7 months later, a bill showed up. My husband called their billing office; Valery, who answered, said they had been really busy and everything was a mess; she never apologized or explained why their problems running a business should be ours. She said we had to speak to Janette. Janette, the head person, was not available; my husband left a message. She never called back. He called again several days later and got her; she apologized, said it shouldn't have happened, and most involved had been fired. But we still should pay as if we got proper service. Would this even happen at a restaurant? Should a professional be held to lower standards than any ordinary business? We acknowledged I go some benefit (the test results) but suggested half-price was appropriate given the crappy performance. We wrote an accommodating letter to Dr. More proposing this solution; of course, he never called back. For a professional, isn't the fastest call you make the one where there is a problem? Not so with Dr. Less. In the end, we paid the full bill. Our contempt for these people is total. They care nothing for their patients, as far as we can tell; and they are unresponsive to problems. You can and should do better: avoid Daniel More.
I am so relieved my daughter has seen Dr. More. Her incessant nighttime cough has not only kept us up all night for over a week but has really worried me. She was given all sorts of asthma medication by our pediatrician and it wasn't working. Dr. More gave us his full attention and time. He is thoughtful and very knowledgeable. She does not have asthma, only allergies (for which she will be tested). He knew exactly how to treat her and we are all now sleeping. Most importantly, I am no longer worried about my daughter

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
