William Van Der Reis's Online Review Report Card

I had to get checked up for an ingrown toenail infection and he quartered the price of the checkup, swiftly had the appointment over with, and on the follow-up appointment didn’t charge at all. He is very quick, effective, and to-the-point, and I would recommend him to anyone I know!

Dr. Van Der Reis was incredible and I wholeheartedly recommend him to help you. I had a very painful ordeal with my knee. He was very confident and effective with his approach (cortisone shot and PT) and I am a new person. AND my Xray indicated I have a bone to bone situation... not good but even more impressive with his treatment. I have since learned that there is definitely a technique involved with steroid injections and this can determine the result you will get as a result.  His technique is spot on!!

I have been seeing Dr. Van Der Reis and his staff members at his practice for a shoulder injury. I am very pleased to say that following the recent surgery to my shoulder using the most current and least evasive procedures possible, I have received great relief from the pain I was in. The staff at the office, the nurses, and Dr. Van Der Reis are great. They take the time to explain your options and to give you the choice as to which course you are going to take for your treatment(s). I highly recommend Dr Will Van Der Reis to everyone and anyone that will listen.  I have referred several friends to him who all say the same.  He is approachable and his bed side manner is second to none.  He cares greatly about his patients and gives you a full explanation and discusses all options.  I have had two now different surgeries will Dr and everything from the surgery center, to scheduling appts. to followup has exceeded my expectations.  I am grateful to be in such good hands.

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Van Der Reis!  I came to him for a second opinion following a knee replacement and he was very thorough in assisting me.  His staff was exceptional in setting up the appointment, knowing that my initial surgeon was a prestigious Orange County orthopedic surgeon.  I will not name him here, but suffice it to say that I wish I had gone to Dr. Van Der Reis for my knee replacement.  Im one year out and I am still struggling with swelling and constant pain.  If you are considering a TKR go to Dr. VDR.

Dr Van Der Reis took over my care in March 2018to fix an ACL reconstruction with a hamstring graft/Meniscus repair that caused significant trauma and problems to my knee. That surgery was Dec 5th by a Dr in Newport Beach. He did my second surgery April 10th 2018 to repair my meniscus the other surgeon sewed it down it tore right back upDr Van Der Reis repaired it properly.He also cleaned out mushroom size cyclone scar tissue at the ACL graft site.He is patient, kind, straight forward and knowledgeable. Thank god I found him to clean up the mess the first surgeon made. I Couldnt recommend him more.

Dr Van Der Reis performed my mcl/meniscus repair. My "repaired" knee is stronger/more flexible then my other knee. He was great on every level.

I have recommended Dr. Van der Reis to numerous friends since he performed a hamstring replacement for my torn ACL about 13 years ago.  The procedure at that time was progressive; other MDs were still only offering a patella tendon or cadaver; Im no surgeon I just wanted the best option to keep active skiing, tennis, hiking with my dog, etc. Van der Reis is quiet, straight forward and only cracks a smile if you get him going!  Got a question?  ask!  He keeps appointments within 15 minutes of appt. time which is professional and courteous; and he answers any and all questions....he even managed the IV when the preop nurse failed twice; I only give 3 chances; Van der Reis got it the first time.If you cant tell, I have nothing but good things to say about Van der Reis.....I just saw him two days ago about a new arthritic situation with my big toe; he gave me confidence to put off any unnecessary surgery unless it becomes truly uncomfortable as he assured me it will be slow growing compared to the discomfort of surgery and rehab!Finding a competent surgeon is not easy; I am very glad to have Van der Reis available and recommend him highly if you need help.

I drive all the way from Huntington Beach to come see Dr. Van der Reis! He is the only doctor I will see for any of my orthopedic issues. He's performed two ankle surgeries and a knee surgery on me (i'm clumsy) and seriously is the best. I would fly from a different state to keep seeing him if i needed too.!!

Dr. Van Der Reis has great bedside manner. Staff is great and my overall experience was excellent.
