Activcare At Mission Bay's Online Review Report Card

I used to hold weekly church services, on Sunday afternoons, for those who wished to participate. Although I did not have a loved one being cared for here, I was pleased to return weekly. The facilities were welcoming, they appeared as if you entered a hotel lobby. Once they took you into the protected area it resembled a sort of well organized rec room. There was no "smell" or people in corners forgotten. Families were visiting, others were interacting with staff. Everyone was dresses with shoes on. I have to say because family members were allowed to attend the service and be in the room, I was taken in by some of the residents. Being dressed and well groomed I did not know I was speaking with a resident, and not a new visitor. One of the nurses would kindly walk over to me and in passing whisper that I was speaking to a resident. Have no worries, your loved one will be well cared for here.

ActivCare in Mission Bay is the best place to take your loved one.   Their expertise in memory care is amazing.  They create a stimulating, fun and warm environment for the residents. They are kind and caring and the food is great also!  Dawn, Jeremy and the staff have become part of our family.  We are very grateful that care so much about my mother.

We recently admitted my aunt to ActivCare at Mission Bay as she had surpassed our ability to care for her at home.  The experience has been far better than anything we could have hoped for.  Jeremy was enthusiastic and continually helpful as we discussed our concerns and questions with him.  He gave us his cell # and was available every time we called (which was several). He understood the paperwork and educated us, always presenting a variety of options.  The facility is fun and fanciful with its beach/surfer motif. The day we brought my aunt in, Jeremy helped us choreograph a plan that was respectful of this big change.  He sat with us through lunch and managed the transition personally.  Dawn, the executive director, actually served us lunch and knelt down next to my aunt as they shared stories.  We have since been notified regularly of her activities and reaction to her new surroundings, including the pleasant and the difficult.  We have been welcomed in every time we show up.  All staff have been kind and genuinely supportive.  We are so grateful to have found this place!
