Always Great experience with staff including Dr. Patel Surgery, multiple reminders for appointments, they always treat with respect, kind, pleasant, never a hassle, been going for over a decade! Absolutely great !, thanks!
Very professional staff and great customer service!
Horrible. Been sitting here over 40 minutes after my mother's appointment time. People that got here way after us have been getting called back. Worst I have ever experienced and they have tons of doctors here at least 5 it's a big office
Prompt and professional, no time wasted and a short waiting period. Definitely would recommend to friends.
Just rude the girls in the front desk not even a hello
Interestingly this place has a 4.5 reviews. I had an appointment at 8:10 which required me to take time off my morning job. When I entered, the front personnel were entertaining a matter so they abruptly asked me to sit down and said they’d be with me in a moment. After sitting there for the next 35 minutes and watching others get called in by the back personnel I approached the front desk and obviously they had forgotten about me.To add insult, I noticed that after I briefly expressed how I had been waiting for over 45 minutes to the young lady who finally took me to the back, she began instructing me in a tone as if I was a child.Perhaps she became irritated after I briefly expressed my frustration for waiting for so long. I’m sorry that at times she has to deal with irritated customers when they slip through the cracks. Nevertheless, I’m not her neighbor, cousin, brother or child for her to treat me this way. I’m a customer bringing my business to her employer. Therefore, professionalism is key. I’m definitely taking my business elsewhere.
My appointment was at the El Cajon location, Dr. Patty Cheng. The office personnel were kind and helpful, Dr. Cheng was not. She spoke to me as if I was a child, was degrading and rude. I had not been to have my eyes checked since 2020 due to COVID, and had been given a 24 month supply of contacts, due to COVID. Dr. Cheng treated me like I had bought a year supply of contacts on the black market because, "We only give one year supplies". I shared that the main concern for coming in today was cloudy contacts, and that I thought it might be because I was coming up on my last pair of contacts, so they might be old? She looked at my eyes, told me I must misuse my contacts and wear them for too long because my eyes were not in good shape and I clearly don't take care of them. I shared that I'd like to get Lasik, she responded laughing at me saying I will never wear contacts again, let alone be a candidate for Lasik then walked out the door. When she returned, she sat at her computer and told me she didn't want to scare me or anything but she wanted me to see what my eye lids looked like. I replied that I wasn't wearing my contacts so I couldn't see well, and she responded with, "Well, then your going to need to get up and walk over to my computer so you can see." I have never been treated with such disrespect. I am a responsible contact wearer and I care about my eyes and have them checked yearly. I will not be going to back to West Coast Eye care again.

So disappointed, African American male was so rude, refused to help me get my eyeglasses because he was "busy". He just wanted to go home earlier.
I haven't had my eyes checked in many years so referred here by my insurance and they were very efficient competent and sociable and made it an easy appt. I went in to only check my eye health but they were very comprehensive in my checkup and it looked like they had everything to meet any eye needs. I'm glad to see so many employees unlike most places these days and it showed In the great service. Thanks again

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
