List of Ada Marin's Reviews
Empathetic and thorough
My experience has always been positive. It is true that Dr. Marin has a very busy schedule, and particularly after the covid surge, you had to schedule one month in advance or more to see her. However, she always keeps available spots very early in the a.m. to see patients on a "crisis" (at least I am under this impression). It has happened to me. I called, explained the problem and they scheduled me 3 days after. Dr. Marin and her staff are dedicated to the wellbeing of their patients. It might be a bit of a wait, so plan accordingly, if you can. Even with the NP my concerns were never taken lightly, and I was always referred to the correct specialist.
Having been a patient of this medical group for over 5 years and having increased issues with my help I can honestly tell you not to come here. If I was told one more time, "let's watch and see what happens" as my quality of life declined one more time I might lose it. They would scold me if I didn't come in again and again but why would I when they ordered expensive bloodwork they would never look at again and do nothing to relieve pain or symptoms I had. Asking for a prescription/write up to get a COVID antibody test was like asking for proof there are unicorns. I am very sorry her niece suffered greatly from this disease but that should not impact how you care for others.
Dr. Ada Marin has been my doctor for 30 years. She is AMAZING and one of the most beautiful souls I know. She is patient, listens to my concerns and goes above and beyond to assist with my medical needs. I will be very sad the day she retires.
Most of my Family went to Dr. Marin. She's a beautiful soul and we've missed her since moving to another state. God bless you always Dr. Marin!
I could not have asked for a more conscientious, thorough, compassionate, experienced & knowledgeable physician, than I found with Dr. Ada Marin. Dr. Ada Marin is an award-winning top physician, and it is very evident in the excellent care she provides to her patients. My only regret, is that my employer changed the insurance group, which removed Dr. Marin from my network. She literally saved my life. She discovered that I had a severe & extreme case of Hashimoto's, and, had it gone undiagnosed for much longer, it surely would have killed me. The normal thyroid test range for a female (my age at that time), is 0.2 - 4.0. I tested at 150. The higher the number, the lower the thyroid. She said she was amazed that I was not in a coma, and that I should not be walking around testing that low.I now live near Los Angeles, but, if I could still have Dr. Ada Marin as my physician, I would gladly make the 2-hour drive. Having been born with a birth defect, I have seen A TON of doctors, beginning in infancy, and am now nearly 58 years old. I can't even count how many doctors I have seen in my lifetime! You can trust my evaluation, when I say that Dr. Ada Marin provides stellar care and is one of the absolute best physicians in all of Southern California!
She was my brother’s doctor for many years and he NEVER once was able to see her and was always brushed off to a NP. I received his medical records and saw all the times he went to see someone in his office and they never once checked with a X-ray or ultra sound of his back otherwise they would have caught the huge mass on his kidney and would have caught it in time before it spread and he would be alive. We watched TV as he was dying and he saw commercial of her saying how she loves to spend time with her patients. My brother laughed and said OH that’s my doctor that never had time to see me. He died 3 months after being DX. Next time please make time to see your patients instead of giving them to your NP.
I'm not one to impulsively review a business negatively. I actually like to reach out to resolve my differences due to understanding customer service and healthcare as I work in it, but I have to say this has been the worst experience I have had with a PCP HMO practice. Absolutely no care for patient care, only want you to schedule physicals and then downplay your real issues when discussed. The only PA that was actually caring was Lindsay and she left and that's when it became very apparent this practice is lacking. Called several times for real medical concerns and was told to call back @7:30 in the am every day to see if could be triaged in that day, but never was. Sad and disappointed in the healthcare system, but I transferred recently and it was a big reminder to never settle as there are healthcare providers who actually want to see you instead of sending you to urgent care or ER!
Dr. Marin has been my Mom's primary care physician for many years. Thanks to her being so proactive with diagnostics, I credit her for playing a very important role in saving my Mother's life and improving the quality of it. She is very warm and caring and always spends plenty of time with my Mom doing thorough assessments and monitoring her various health conditions. She cares about her patients and when I accompany my Mom to her appointments she makes me feel welcome and answers all my questions. Unfortunately, because she is so popular, she is in high demand and so it's important to make appointments far in advance. And sometimes, you may have to be content with seeing her NP if Dr. Marin is unavailable.
Always too busy to see her own patients and pawns them off to NP that are not qualified to Dx simple kidney cancer of someone complains of back problems for months along with weight loss. Shame on you Dr Marin . Don't advertise how much compassion and time you have for your patients when you don't even see them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
