dismissive I did not feel seen/heard, he gave me the impression that he did not care when I had an HMO and it took a lot for me to gain approval for see this 'doctor' outside of my network for help. His office never followed up with me after I was dismissed from my initial visit with him. Very disappointed with the lack of compassion/care for one whom is suffering and desperately seeking help.
A+ results. Great staff and facilities.
Absolutely horrible doctor. Spent 5 minutes with me and very dismissive. I brought a ct scan done outside of UCSD that he refused to look at. He did not do a nasal endoscopy, but I was charged $1000 for one. After numerous calls to billing, I was finally able to get this off my bill. Would not recommend this doctor!
Dr Adam DeConde doesn't know the difference between an infection and an allergy. He insisted I have a major surgery while being wheeled for a simple procedure He screwed up the surgery caused major damage and tried to hide his mistakes by insisting I had chronic allergies. I was tested for allergies, and nope no allergies. This guys is really nice really, really young, out of his depth just doesn't know what he's doing. I took my post op MRIs to two other ENTs they were shocked at the magnitude of damage caused by DeConde, simply wreck less. He's very happy to preform invasive unnecessary surgery just to stay busy. Because he's so young and inexperienced you're a gunny pig to him
Have struggled for years with nasal polyps and breathing through my nose. Had surgery with dr deconde and it has dramatically changed my quality of life. This guy knows how to sort out a nose. The surgery wasn’t too bad and was well worth it. I sleep so much better and can even smell things again. Big thanks to dr deconde and the UCSD staff.
Dr. DeConde performed my turbinate reduction. This resulted in two complications – a perforated septum and a blocked tear duct that required a follow-up surgical procedure with another surgeon to address. My tear duct drainage is currently at about 80-90% of original function and will never be completely the same. When I asked Dr. DeConde why my procedure resulted in these two complications, he was unable to explain, though seemed to be genuinely concerned. Obviously, I would not work with Dr. DeConde again.

ive had complete repitory failure, over 10 trips to the ER this year, and a chronic cough for over 5 years. I have had Mri cT scans been told i have advanced COPD Asthema, chronic broncitas pneumonia, seem by several pulmanologista and finally Dr DeConde. He performed a 4 hour surgery to remove severe polyps and blocked sinus passages. 1 week post op and zero issues with coughing or breathing, zero pain and i can smell taste and even see better. my circulation in my legs improved considerably, i have a new life no snoring or dry mouth, excercise is now something i can do. im not coughing until i throw up after meals and feel better than i have in ten years. this surgeon gave me a life back. Melissa in the office and the Dr Black who put me under trated me with love and respect. you gave a family back a husband dad son and brother. God blessed me and may he bless this great team as wel.the Pacu nurses are the very kind and treated me very kindly
I’m so thankful to have crossed paths with Dr Deconde. It’s a complicated situation, but Dr DeConde found my problem that was really hard to find and had been dismissed and overlooked by my other surgeon. Dr DeConde is so thorough, and I could tell that just talking to him on the phone. He likely saved my life by finding the root of my problem. He’s also a good communicator, which is an uncommon trait among experienced surgeons who don’t like having to explain themselves. He has really impressed me, and I’ve got such an extensive medical history that I’ve grown disillusioned with many providers and am not easily impressed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
