My experience was truly amazing. Dr Matsuoka is a great doctor. I was afraid of steroid ear injections, but he made it simple. He explained everything about the ear drum and how inner ear works. He tries to figure things out with the patient, asks many questions about your condition. I wish my MD would have sent me ASAP to an ENT. I found Dr Matsuoka by research on my own. My ear was blocked and wasn’t getting better after months. If I could share with anyone how important it is to see Dr Matsuoka right away, because hearing loss starts. My ear was blocked like being in an elevator and it would not unblock. The injections in the ear are helping.The Dr even came in early to make sure I got the treatment, because he was so busy.Now that’s an amazing Doctor! He cares about his work! Yes, I feel lucky to have found this Dr.

Absolutely wonderful doctor Dr Matsuoka is an amazing physician! Caring, thoughtful, takes time to provide thoughtful answers to questions and he explains the answers in a way that they can be easily understood.Dr Matsuoka also noticed I was nervous/anxious about the procedure we agreed upon. He took his time to explain it and make me more at ease.I couldn’t ask for a better doctor!! Am very lucky!!

THIS DOCTOR COULD NOT GET ANY BETTER!!! I am a patient of Dr. Akihiro Matsuoka through UCSD in La Jolla CA. I came to him with an unusual case of cancer in my ear canal, after having 5 resections of Mohs surgery leaving me with an open wound. Dr. Matsuoka could not have been more reassuring and throughout the entire process he has been there to provide his expertise, support and innovative follow-up.I felt completely safe and at ease in the care of Dr. Matsuoka...and anyone else who is lucky enough to have him on their team, will surely find a successful resolution.Thank you again Dr. Matsuoka......you were and continue to be an incredibly caring Dr. who continues to confirm to me what an honor it was to be your patient.

Dr. Matsuoka is absolutely wonderful! I am grateful for his knowledge and availability. I see him for bilateral sensorineural hearing loss and any acoustic traumas that may happen unexpectedly. Dr. Matsuoka is very understanding and kind. He was very thorough and patient with all my questions. I was very thankful to get an appointment with him because he has a lot of experience and in-depth knowledge of my condition (Meniere's).

Dr. Matsuoka is the BEST. He has performed two ear surgeries on me - quite complex - and knows what he's doing. He also has a warm, caring demeanor and I always feel like I'm his most important patient. I recently moved out of the area and he went to the trouble to write a letter to the new provider he recommended. I can't say enough good things about him.

I have to say that I absolutely LOVE Dr. Matsuoka!!!! After suffering (really suffering) with Chronic ear infections for over 15 years, I am happy to say that they are completely gone now!! I previously had been to several other well known ENT'S in the Chicago area with limited or no results. I was admitted to NWH because of the swelling caused by the ear infections and Dr. Matsuoka saw me and immediately took charge! I am so very grateful to Dr. Matsuoka for taking the time to really investigate and try new treatments and therapies to bring about my recovery!! Thank you so very much from my heart, Dr. Matsuoka for saving my hearing!! I will NEVER see another ENT again. Dr. Matsuoka is the only ENT for me. I greatly recommend Dr. Matsuoka and his staff to everyone I know!!!
