Very good overall experience from booking an appointment to the procedure- very professional and polite, Amber did a great job , she is very knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure .

Having work done in your face is a scary proposition. But once you meet Dr Alexander, you realize that if you’re going to do a face lift (or other work), you’ve come to the right place. Everything about Dr Alexander and Alexus MedSpa was a positive experience for me. The office is clean and comfortable. His staff are all friendly, skilled, and caring. They find answers quickly and never made me feel like I was bothering them. Dr Alexander spent unrushed time with me, helping me to decide what I should have done. He doesn’t push more work, he actually does the minimum it takes to achieve the goal you want, keeping you looking natural. The best part of the experience is Dr Alexander himself. He has a mellow, kind demeanor that is relaxing and assuring. He showed care and concern for me, my procedure, and post op care. He answered all (and I always had a lot) of my questions. He could see me when the time worked for me and I never waited for my appointments. I could even text him on his private cell phone when I had a pressing concern. I saw Dr Kaplan once as well, and he was just as caring and concerned, calm and assuring. Everything about my experience with Dr Alexander and his surgery center was a most positive experience for me! I have no doubts that I will be recommending him to whom ever asks my opinion for a plastic surgeon. Oh…and my face came out great! - I still look like myself, only 10-20 years younger! I am thrilled with the results!

This post has been a long time coming. I would’ve given no stars, but Google made me give it something. Just want to say this was the BIGGEST waste of $16,000 I’ve ever spent. I had a mini facelift and I think it probably lasted maybe two years at the most. So disappointed with the job that was performed. Plus, had to deal with a stitch coming out the side of my face for seriously three years. About every week I had to trim it back. It appears it finally just stopped coming out in the past couple of weeks. Thank god, because I seriously thought there was no end to it. This experience has been super frustrating as it should’ve lasted way more than two years and especially since it was not cheap. I will have to repeat this procedure again sometime soon, but definitely will not be with Dr. Alexander.

Amazing! Look better and more natural than I ever expected. Dr. John Alexander spent time during my consult explaining what I would benefit from, and what I did not need. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable and factual. I am currently 6 weeks out and I would never hesitate to recommend him (& the team) And I would never consider going anywhere else! I am beyond thrilled!

Dr Alexander is a fine and very experienced triple board-certified Plastic Surgeon. His attention to detail and meticulous expertise was exemplary. He was always calm, very reassuring and my post op care was excellent. Alexus Surgery Center is fully accredited by the American Association of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities using board-certified anesthesiologists. This is often overlooked whether IV sedation or General are used. Being a retired OR,RN.Bsn these are very important considerations for surgery. In addition, Dr Alexander’s staff are top notch, the RN’s for my pre op and aftercare were exceptional in every way. My results are fabulous. I could not be happier with my Deep Plane Quick lift, neck, ears lobe revision plus added procedures. I’m getting so many compliments and look 10+ years younger.

If you’re going to read one review, this is a good reflection. Dr Alexander is by far the best in San Diego. I have researched and met with countless plastic surgeons and he was my favorite and I live in Cabo, San Lucas, Mexico. And please know that there are plenty of surgeons in Cabo now Not only was his staff, super professional, and responsive, they were fun to work with. They even told me after the surgery that they only lost one of my eyelashes, which was some thing I requested them to try to save. Lol. Hey, you know how important those eyelashes are Haha. Everyone from the anesthesiologist to the receptionist, to the nursing staff everyone was incredible Dr. John is highly , highly skilled and his work is just incredible and my bruising was so amazingly minimal. Now here’s even more incredible part to this review. I had my surgery on Wednesday, and by that night, I already slept great with minimal bruising. I didn’t even need any pain medication at all. The next day he saw me and cleaned up some post op details. 15 minutes The next follow up was on Sunday, and it was raining from that tropical storm that came up from the Baja so there was a storm warning in San Diego and he met me at his office on Sunday at noon to take a few stitches out. He believes that taking them out progressively helps heal in healing. They don’t want the skin to heal over the suture. The staff and Dr John are so meticulous that’s what was incredible. So anyway, Dr. John meets me on Sunday at noon for a quick post up while there’s a tropical storm hitting San Diego. I stopped him. There he was right on time on Sunday at noon . He even left his car idling in the parking lot while he quickly attended to some of my sutures that he wanted to attend to. The next day I met him again and remove the last of my sutures. One more thing that I think is important. When I was brought into the actual operating room, I saw at least eight pictures of my face posted on the electronic displays all over the room from every angle. . He had meticulously understood every angle of my face line and how I expressed myself. It was just so comforting to see my face from all those angles with all these vector lines drawn over them, and the doctor so confident. He totally knows what he’s doing from an artistic as well as a technical medical point of view 45 minutes later I was all set. Dr. John and his is extremely skilled at what he does and you will love love the results of the process. It’s so worth it. Christina

I would give zero stars if that was an option. DO NOT purchase multiple items with a promotion if you are not using them same day. I purchased multiple syringes (filler) using a promotion and was told they would store the remaining one for when I am ready. My next visit I inquired about the remaining syringe, the office assistant said I did not have one and there was no record. After inquiring several times I contacted the office manager today who then told me that it was used the same day it was purchased and there are pictures that show both were used. This place is a SCAM and unfortunately I am out several hundred dollars.

Dr. Alexander is nicest, most talented, down to earth plastic surgeon, listens to your needs, his work is beautiful, stressfree environment makes you feel relaxed. The vertical deep plane facelift produces amazing results! Jolie is amazing to work with! His whole staff! My whole experience and results so amazing!! I would do it over again!!

Alexus Med Spa is outstanding in every way. Monica has tremendously improved the look and feel of my skin and Taylor keeps it looking that way with her incredible facials! Both are genuinely sweet and extremely knowledgeable! The products they suggested (and I now use religiously) have been a game changer. As an added bonus, their facilities are stunning in design! I look forward to every visit!

First I had a Halo laser to my face neck and chest. The people were so experienced and knowledgeable. Very calming procedure. And NO PAIN!!! The staff is exceptional. I could tell they were really trying to help me with my concerns. I highly recommend the Halo laser. So effective and really no pain and very short down time. Then Dr Alexander was able to fit me into his busy schedule to help with my turkey neck and jowl line. He fit me in because I told him we were leaving on a cross country trip in our travel trailer. The postop care from his staff was exceptional!! And Dr Alexander told me to call him with any concerns and he would even meet me at the surgicenter on the weekends if necessary. My last facelift with Dr Alexander was in 2012. When I had lost a lot of weight. 70 lbs. It lasted beautifully until winter of 2020, when I lost more weight due to covid. That’s a very long time for a facelift to still be effective. Dr Alexander had told me before my first surgery in 2012 that I would still continue to age normally. Just 10 years behind. So he tells you the truth. I worked as an RN. One morning after I had worked (2) 16 doubles in a row on a weekend, my fellow nurses took a picture of me from a site that tells you how old you LOOK. It showed that I looked 45. I was 64 at the time. Dr Alexander’s skill is amazing. It never looks like a ‘facelift’. It looks natural. I just look ‘refreshed’. Gets rid of the haggard look. I highly recommend Dr Alexander and his staff. Don’t settle for ‘cheaper’ procedures. You may be sorely sorry if you do.
