He’s the very BEST, trust him with my life!
It was 26 years ago when Dr. Saleh met my father and my family. My father was fighting a terrible cancer and that's when my father and I had a consultation with Dr. Saleh. Dr. Saleh gave us hope of fighting the battle against that horrible sickness. He was there for him like a guardian angel and did everything possible for my father to live in a conformable way. He help my father not to die screaming in pain in a hospital where they didn't want to accept him, if it wouldn't be for that beautiful kindness angel. Thank you, Dr. Saleh
Dr. Saleh has been my Oncologist for 6 years now and he is amazing. He is detailed, takes his time at appointments, and has always helped me to understand what is happening and to give it to me straight but also be compassionate. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to get me through .
I was referred to Dr. Saleh after years of feeling crappy and having my truly alarming lab results ignored by Sharp HMO primary care physicians. Dr. Saleh ran every test in the book, including DNA tests and multiple bone marrow biopsies. All tests were either negative or inconclusive, but Dr. Saleh ignored the facts, and ignored my anemia, and refused to test me for any of the common, non-cancer causes of my problems. Instead, Dr. Saleh diagnosed me with a rare, incurable bone marrow neoplasm (cancer) and worst of all, HE TOLD ME SO IN A VOICE MAIL MESSAGE ON MY CELL PHONE that he left on a Friday night after 5:00 pm, when the office was closed, so I couldn't call back until Monday !!!!! I'm still sick, and I'm now paying cash out-of-pocket for a private diagnostic physician who says my lab tests suggest that I was misdiagnosed, and my problems are probably caused by iron deficiency that is probably due to fairly common, treatable digestion problems. Meanwhile, I've spent 15 years suffering, and I am fed up with Sharp HMO doctors. Dr. Saleh is polite and has a kindly manner, but he shouldn't have diagnosed me with a disease that the tests showed I didn't have, just because the diagnosis is something that's within his specialty, and he didn't feel like referring me to another specialty, and he was tired of running tests. All this did was to delay my getting a correct diagnosis and treatment, and keep me sick for another 5 years. But the voicemail thing is what really made me despise Dr. Saleh. Seriously, what kind of doctor tells a patient they have cancer in a VOICEMAIL???? (If anyone doubts this, I still have his voicemail saved on my cell phone.)
Dr.Saleh took care of my wife in the early 80's. He has also taken care of other family members who were diagnosed with cancer. He has been with the same colleagues, Dr.Barone & Dr.Goldfarb, since that time. Dr.Saleh is very knowledgeable of all available protocols for cancer treatment. He is warm, caring, and a highly regarded clinician. I can tell you by experience should Dr.Saleh be the attending physician during the end stage of a cancer battle he will make that journey a peaceful one.
When we were referred to Dr. Saleh, my husband's cancer was already too advanced to treat. Dr. Saleh treated my husband and myself with respect, honesty, directness and most of all with caring. He and his staff helped us through a very difficult and highly emotional time. He took the time to meet with our family, including adult children. He helped us get San Diego Hospice involved and they were great. My husband was at peace and had a very comfortable last month in our home surrounded by family and quality care givers. I feel so strongly about Dr. Saleh as a physician and person, that I switched to him for my own care for breast cancer. It was definitely the right choice. I look forward to my annual check ups and seeing Dr. Saleh and his staff. I have always felt that I am treated as a person and not a number by everyone there.
Dr. Saleh is an excellent doctor. Professional, warm, caring and thorough. He treated my husband who had a cancer that was untreatable when we were sent to him. He handled our situation and grief with directness, honesty and caring. I changed my choice of oncologist for my own treatment (breast cancer) after experiencing his and his staff's care. I would highly recommend Dr. Saleh.
He saved my life more than once. His compassion, caring and expertise are of the highest level.
Dr. Saleh is the best! Without him she would never have seen me get married or meet her grandchildren. He is knowledgeable and attentive. His staff is also very caring and courteous.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
