Barbara Denysiak's Online Review Report Card

I had my first visit with Dr. Denysiak today, and I'm very happy to have her as my new PCP. She is very knowledgeable and personable, and made me feel at ease throughout my appointment. She really listened to me and thoroughly addressed all of my medical concerns. She suggested a thought out care plan going forward and we have a Teledoc appointment for follow up in a few weeks. I'm very glad she is in my insurance network.

Have been seeing Dr. D through many health ups and downs over thirty years now. She is a great doctor and I now take my daughter to see her. She will take time to listen to your concerns and is great at diagnosing things. I had a rare health issue and she caught my husband's cancer early enough that he is doing well 15 years later. Don't want her to ever retire.

I don't like leaving a poor review but I think it should be known that I recieved terrible care while Dr. Denysiak was my primary care provider. I saw her twice after pretty significant IBS flare ups, and each time she only saw me for about 5 minutes. During each visit, she would say, "so do you want medication, or what?" Seriously, she said that to me, twice. Isn't it her job to help me figure out what is wrong, instead of just trying to perscribe something? Her daughter (same name, same practice) was slightly better, in that she spent more time with me. She perscribed anti-depressants to treat chronic pain due to IBS. I know this sometimes done to treat people with really bad chronic pain, but I'm 26 years old. It seems a little out there to jump to anti-depressants when there are other avenues to treat IBS. Now onto the office. Honestly, terrible. I requested my chart be sent to a new doctor after I moved. The office called me multiple times to tell me that 1) I owed them money for the request (??), 2) I did not owe them money, 3) ask who was supposed to recieve the documents after they had recieved a fax request from my new doctor, 4) try to give me the chart instead of my new doctor, 5) again try to charge me for the printing/ faxing fee. It was ridiculous. I have never ever heard of a patient being charged for a printing/faxing fee for info being sent to a new doctor. If you have a chronic issue or are even seeking reliable primary care, I would look for a different doctor. So disappointing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Denysiak Sr for years!! Now her daughter, Dr. Jaqueline is available for consultations which is amazing!! Love the story of this office. Credit given where credit is due to this amazing pair of primary care docs. I just left a review of Dr. J but I felt that Dr. Denysiak deserved just as much praise for her excellent care the past decade. So grateful!.

I went to see her as a new patient to get a prescription refill and knee pain. She never even checked my knee. 1 month and 4 phone calls later, my prescription was still not refilled and authorised. She ordered an XRay, and did not even follow up with results. I will not see her again.

In this age of managed health care, it can be a challenge to find a physician who can be characterized as a family doctor. With Dr. Denysiak I have found such a doctor. I have been under her care for over 6 years and have found her to be competent, caring and pro-active in suggesting ways to best manage my health in all respects.

I had an 8:15am appointment and I was at Barbara’s office 5 minutes early. Since I was the first patient I was immediately sent to the back for my weight, blood pressure etc. I waited for about 10-15 minutes and the nurse came in and told me that I can wait for Barbara who is stuck in traffic and will be 20 minutes late. Extremely unprofessional that a doctor would be late for any reason to see a patient. I will be changing my doctor immediately. I suggest staying away from this outdated and very unprofessional office.

I've been  coming here for a while now and I really like it. All the people that work here are very nice.

I have been under the care of Dr. Denysiak for over 5 years. I am presently a 69 year old male with an active life-style. I have read the negative reviews and each negative point attributed to either Dr. Denysiak or her staff is something that I have never experienced. She listens, affirmatively makes suggestions for improving my health, does not have an issue with questions, and even has a sense of humor when I complain about getting older. As patients, we have to remember that we are part of the equation too. If we present ourselves in a physician's office in a demanding or confrontational manner, we may trigger defensive responses from our health care providers that we may then perceive negatively.

Dr. Denysiak was my doctor for over a decade and she is by far the best doctor I have had as far as listening, providing information & education, prescribing, running tests; etc; overall very good care. Assertiveness with front desk staff is the key and just know that she does not keep a lot of electronic files, this is a bonus if you appreciate your privacy of information.
