Dr handler performed very difficult(4hr) removal of old implants and insertion of new implants. His skill is amazing and bedside manner calming and reassuring. I. Have seen him for other issues and he has continued to provide top notch care along with great office staff eesp Amy.

As a physician myself, I greatly appreciate Doctor Handler's compassion and clinical skills. He is dedicated to his patients and their concerns. I consulted him for treatment of a malignant lesion on my ear lobe, which he removed with a very satisfactory cosmetic result. Highly recommended.

Personable and humorous doctor. His staff are respectful and kind as well. I was personally satisfied by the results of him closing up my piercing holes, and am returning in the future for a few more procedures. After recently having a bad experience with an unrelated dermatologist and his staff, it was a nice change to be treated by Dr. Handler at his office.

Excellent Doctor. Very patient with questions, polite, thoughtful. He has been my doctor for about 8 years. During that time, he has treated me for fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, broken capillaries, irregularly shaped moles, eyelash enhancement, lip enhancement, a severe burn, and a scar on my face. He is well versed in dermatology, liposuction, and laser hair removal, as well as plastic surgery. Dr. Barry also works as an emergency room on-call surgeon during his off hours. Set aside some extra time for your appointment as he is very thorough and will discuss all aspects of your treatment and what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Barry and his staff. The office is serene and the appointment is always a pleasure.

My father is a retired plastic surgeon and associate professor of plastic surgery at UCSD and needed a little stitching on the side of his ear. He called Barry and Barry met him at the office and took care of the suturing and did such an excellent job that my dad was very impressed with the skills of dr. Handler. We would recommend dr. Handler for any type of plastic surgery needs.

In April 2016, had a consultation w/Dr. Handler to unquire about breast implant removal. Had my implants for 13 yrs & wanted them gone! Consultation fee was $100 and is applied towards procedure, should you choose to proceed w him. I was ecstatic when he said he could perform a simple removal in his office under local anesthesia for $1,000. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Now I'm 1 year out! Dr. Handler & staff are professional yet very easy going &unpretentious. PERFECT for Me!

I have been with Dr. Handler now for over 3 years. He completely transformed me . After gastric bypass I had lost over 200 lbs and when I came to Dr. Handler I had kept it off for over 3 years. But I had so much lose skin everywhere it caused pain when I would sit in one position for over a half hour in the car, I had rashes in various locations, etc. And these are just a few of the problems it caused, as well as the obvious embarrassing ugliness of it all. After two major operations and numerous scar revisions, he fixed it all. I am so happy with the outcome. I actually look like a normal human male for the first time in my 55 year old life. He never rushed me. He always explained everything to be done. His prices were reasonable considering the amount of work and time involved, and he was always patient and caring. My case is probably somewhat unique and complex. And I must say, I had virtually no complications. This is a testament to this Doctorâ??s skill as a Surgeon. I am so happy I found him and I highly recommend him.

I only give him one star because I am not able to give him a 0. He may be good at face lifts or breast augmentation but he has NO IDEA what he is doing as far a reconstructive surgery is concerned. I needed scar tissue removed and he indicated at our first consultation that he had experience in doing so. Not so, he gave me more scar tissue than I went in with and I had to have corrective surgery, to his surgery, done by another plastic surgeon who actually knew about scar tissue, not breasts and faces. Had to miss more work, be out of commission and in pain again.. He also prescribed pain medication that contained a content he knew (or should have known if my allergies had been written in my chart) I was allergic to. When my husband called to have the prescription changed, he prescribed THE EXACT SAME DRUG WITH A DIFFERENT NAME (unbeknownst to me as I don't know the formularies of all the pain meds, I assume the doctor knows what he is doing in prescribing a drug). I ended up in the emergency room with anaphylaxis. Had they written down my allergies or paid attention to what they prescribed this could have been avoided. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
