Bernard A. Feigenbaum Md's Online Review Report Card

I'm forever grateful that God blessed Dr. Bernard A. Feigenbaum to do his work on Earth. If you've struggled with severe allergies and sensitivity to allergens for years without relief, you'd absolutely understand where I'm coming from. In 2011, a Gas Chamber exercised (aim to prepare you for biochemical attack, it is the burning of different chemicals/gases in a tiny room while exercising) caused me since that day to have a plethora of adverse reactions/symptoms when exposed to most chemicals. From headaches and blurry vision to flaky skin in the face and scalp, I struggled for years to find a doctor (out of many) to tell me what was going on and my quality of life was poor and nearly mentally unbearable. Then I stumbled upon Dr. Feigenbaum and his excellent staff. Within days, he had the answers, list of products that I can use, and advise on lifestyle changes I needed to make to manage exposure. My quality of life improved significantly because of this man - I wished I found him earlier.

BEST ALLERGIST EVER!!!I came to see Dr. Feigenbaum a few years back with my serious asthma problem and chronic bronchitis and was referred by my brother who had seen him previously with his daughters that had the same problem, asthma. He solved my problem from both diagnosis and I have never had to use a nebulizer machine or inhaler again! (Knock on wood) Thanks Dr. Feigenbaum for taking care of me and my problems, I have never felt better in my life :) You're the BEST!

Easily the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. He persistently asked invasive, personal questions. I became so uncomfortable that I actually recorded him on my phone. I have 3 minutes on tape of him lecturing me about how he is always right and is the best doctor in San Diego. This man has the most inflated ego I have ever come across, and I'm a law student from NYC. I would avoid him at all costs. There are plenty of allergists who can perform patch/scratch testing. See someone who will behave professionally.

I have only met a handful of doctors in my life as thorough and thoughtful as Dr. Feigenbaum. I can’t express enough how impressed I was with how he took the time to speak with me, make sure I understood our conversation, and even emailed me a peer-reviewed paper on allergies that we had discussed! I don’t think I would want to see anybody else for my allergies and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

My overall 3 stars concluded with my experiences below:1. Specialist knowledge: (4 Stars) Dr. Feigenbaum is very knowledgeable and passionate in his field. He knew what he as talking about and I felt confident in his expertise, treatment and recommendations. 2. Overall office visit experience: (3 Stars) The doctor's office is a shared office within another doctors office. I went to the office visit with three separate allergy concerns and felt the entire visit was focused only on the first concern. The doctor would jump from my room to another room and back, leaving the impression he was juggling multiple appointments/ patients at the same time causing me to remind staff that I had two other allergy concerns during the visit. 3. Post visit billing experience: (1 Star) This part needs major improvements. My initial visit was paid on the assumption of coinsurance and deductible (routine). There was billing issues with the insurance claim which was resolved two months after visit. At this point, a refund was requested from this office because of over-payment. Multiple refund requests and correspondence to the Doctor, office, and staff went unanswered for a month. A refund was finally rendered.

Dr. Feigenbaum quickly found the allergens that were affecting me the most. I never had an allegory test, and for some reason I thought they involved needles, but it was easy, painless and of course, a little itchy. If there any other issues that could be connected, such as sleep apnea, then he'll bring that up as well.

This is my allergist! Very thorough, listens and asks questions and is great at telling you the right thing to do. Before I went to him, I had no idea there was a certain way to use a nasal spray. He helped me practice and understand how to properly use the nasal sprays he wanted to treat me with. Dr. Feigenbaum is nice and he's always willing to help you out for your benefit. He truly wants you to feel better and that's why I give 5 stars. I got so used to other doctors just throwing medication at me and being sent on my way, I was never used to the explanation and directions and even advice! He's not trying to throw you on meds. I believe that he's so aware of the nuisances the allergies can cause and once you leave from his office, he's offered all the options he could for relief and educated you to he point where you know what to look forward to. There's something special in learning about your body and how it reacts and he helps you get there. Thx Dr. F!

My son is 10 years old now and has asthma since he was 7 years old. He was not able to do much exercise in the past 3 years and relied heavily on his albuterol inhaler. Every winter season, he would have 1-2 epidsodes of asthma attack and ended up requiring oral steroids. He started seeing Dr. Feigenbaum in mid October of this year for treatments and my son is doing awesome now! He no longer needs to carry his rescue inhaler and plays sports and actively runs around without having asthma issues. Dr. Feigenbaum really knows his stuff and made my life much easier with an asthma kid! Thank YOU Dr. Feigenbaum!!

Look no further. If you need an allergist come to Dr. Feigenbaum! Okay, to start he is the most charismatic person ever and so easy to talk to. He really listened to all my allergy issues I was having and gave me recommendations (that I have never tried before and ACTUALLY worked). I've been to an allergist before and he was good, but not as attentive and responsive as Dr. Feigenbaum. He gave me exactly what I needed as samples and when they helped me 100% with my allergies he sent the prescription in with a coupon to cover for how expensive one of the medications was. It was a complicated process but he was working with the pharmacy and emailing me to ensure the coupon went through and I was getting the best deal. Original price was about $50 and after his coupon it was $14. He was so patient in helping me work it out with the pharmacy. Not to mention he is so welcoming and easy to reach over email or the portal. BEST ALLERGIST EVER

I only wish I could give a rating of 10 stars out of five for this incredible doctor and his amazing team! His approach is very personal and always informative and he really listens. He is conservative with regards to prescribing medications. Instead, he works on the body from the inside-out- beginning with the basics- most importantly is diet. If it is urgent, they will get you in, often on the same day. His entire team is also top-notch!! Bravo to all of you and THANK YOU!!
