List of Brian First's Reviews
Nurse Practitioner Kelly Gonzales is very caring and attentive and responds quickly whenever urgent help is needed. Highly recommend her!
Dr. First is an outstanding PCP. He is excellent in remembering where we last discussed my health issues. He has the traditional mannerisms of a true medical professional. Just remember, we all might have a not so good day! Thank you to the staff for a job well-done.
Dr First staff is so completely rude and dismissive that I can’t imagine the Doctor being any different It’s a shame that medicine is much more about economics than people I feel disrespected and humiliated
Dr First is very through. He gives you a thought physical exam and takes a complete history. It’s my opinion that he is an excellent physician. His office staff is very helpful. I have had an excellent experience at his office
Saw NP with 1/2-3/4 inch puncture wound in foot. Asked to start medications d/t heart history. Refused. Gave me lidocaine shot in BOTTOM of foot. About 3 days later could not walk. CELLULITIS!!! Extremely painful to walk for over 3 months. The rest I can add after lawsuit. Sorry. Be careful with your health
I think that everyone has a valid point with the phone system and the follow up consistency with this office. I can see and understand that this has reflected badly overall on the office, and this is very unfortunate. This has been a problem for over the past few years. Today was the first time that I have phoned in for a very long time and the phone system has been improved as of 10/22/2018 according to the message. As far as the staff goes, Dr. First is the best in his field as I have seen him since the late 1990's and he has done everything in his power and more to give me the best care and treatment that the law allows. I would suggest that people not hold this as a direct reflection on the "Medical" care that you will receive from Dr. First, but just like everyone has noted and which everyone has made it clear, that the "Phone System" has failed us, and Dr. First and the staff. I have tolerated the "phone" system for a few years now because the "Care" is beyond exceptional to say the least. I will continue to see him for as long as I can until he retires. He is an A++ Dr. and Human Being.
I was a patient of Dr First's for a number of years. The first problem starts with trying to reach them. The phone was rarely answered by a person and I frequently never received returned calls after leaving voice mails. It was a challenge to schedule appointments and prescription refills and some staff treated the patients very rudely. After years of not being a patient, they just called me during the COVID 19 quarantine to see if I wanted to schedule an appointment. No thank you....
Consistently the worst Drs office ever. Put on hold for over 10 minutes timed, left messages for lab results, does not return phone calls. now 1 week no reply from the office as to needed extensive lab results. Too many other Drs out there with better compassion and results
I went in a couple months ago and saw the nurse practitioner for a yearly PE and bloodwork. I never received my results on my bloodwork. I needed a copy of my bloodwork and that was a pain. Called to have a copy ready so I could pick them up. The nurse practitioner’s assistant didn’t double check in the medical record before picking up the bloodwork results. Got to the office and another administrative assistant couldn’t find the results in my medical records and had to search for them in the computer. Then proceeded to tell me I couldn’t get a copy. I never did receive a call. They are very incompetent and I don’t trust the nurse practitioner and administrative assistants.
Good doctor with decent nurse practitioners but don't expect any sort of follow through or accountability. I recommend you stay away from this office. I will not waste my time listing the reasons. If you want to find out for yourself...go for it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
