List of Eileen Han Acupuncture's Reviews
I was sent to see Eileen Han for sciatica injury OTJ which wasn't healing, and i had a horrible experience. She left the room and have me a bell to ring if i needed anything, well i couldn't even ring it bc i was so cramped up everywhere, all over my body. She inserted HUGE needles that i knew were to big, and sure enough my body started aching in no time. I woke up this morning and could barely walk, i had to get my cane out that i had put away a few weeks ago. Isn't acupuncture supposed to help not hurt? She claims it's all part of the healing process but i refuse to see her again.
Was recommended to see Dr Han but she gets pretty booked up so I booked with Dr Cindy. She is the sweetest. Super friendly, patient, asks good questions to figure out how to help you. Even the person working the front desk is sooo friendly, kind and helpful. I like how they give you a bell or button to push in case you need help while you're resting with the needles. Not that I ever had to call for help but it's very thoughtful. I would definitely recommend.
As a retired Navy Veteran I find the most relaxing and rewarding experience from Essential Health Acupuncture. Taking the time to meditate during my pain-management treatments sessions provides an opportunity to seek mindfulness in the solitude of the moment. Namaste!!!
Love this place.
What a great outcome, thx so much to Dr Han! Walked in w a limp from Sciatica then out two hours later, no limp. Excited to continue my treatments
I am a new patient and I will admit I was afraid due to the hype about the many needles 😳 but all the pain I am having I was willing to do anything for relief. I saw Cindy this past Thurs and all I can say is WOW 🤩 Her skills is placing the needles was amazing ! I didn’t feel anything. The experience was so different than anything, I felt my body like twitching & a dull low pain Cindy said it was “resetting” itself. Since I have 50 yrs of issues to fix I did not expect a miracle for the first visit as this will take some time but I did feel some relief immediately. It was a very positive & calming experience & she walked me thru every step which was wonderful 🙏 I am kicking myself for not giving in to my fears years ago but I can’t change my past mindset, I can only go forward with positive healing thoughts. I am so grateful for Cindy & I can’t wait to see what is next Thank you so much
I highly recommend Essential Health Acupuncture for therapeutic intervention. Dr. Shant has helped me tremendously with pain relief, and low back pain. I can't thank Dr. Shant for all of his tremendous knowledge and exceptional care h GIVES to his clients. I am taking herbs that he suggested as well and have received wonderful changes i my health. Please don't overlook Essential Health Acupuncture for your acupuncture needs.
Great group of people working together to help you feel better. I’ve been going to Dr. Han for many years. She has gotten me through many issues and has kept me out of the emergency room more than once. She’s very caring and will go the extra mile to help you out even sharing some of her bone broth soup she makes which is very good,
Worst acupuncture treatment ever. As a new patient, I was grateful they got me in quickly. However, once at the appointment, my intake with the provider lasted less than 2 minutes and he told me how I would need over $1000 in treatments. Not what you want to hear within 5 minutes of walking in the door. Then the needles were placed. I was left alone to sounds of people urinating and flushing the toilet in the restroom repeatedly next door to my room. No effort was made with music to quiet the sounds of people using the bathroom or the traffic & sirens outside on Balboa & Genesee. Once my "treatment" was complete I thought the provider was being extra diligent about wiping my head with a tissue and made a comment under his breath about how I "needed a good shampoo." I was horrified when I got home to see my entire scalp covered in rivulets of dried blood. I looked like I was in a horror movie. No mention was made at the appointment of the bleeding to reassure me - I was left to discover it on my own. I called Dr. Tran (who I talked to when scheduling) discounted all my concerns, offered only excuses, never offered for me to return and to try and make things right. They do not care about helping you heal. She did not care about the treatment received and accused me of having too high expectations. The only thing I hoped for was some pain relief for my shoulder and neck, not unreasonable hopes and certainly not expected after one treatment! There's a reason this clinic asks for cash up front. I've had many acupuncture treatments over the years and this was the worst experience ever. If you are looking for a healing experience, don't go to this clinic. They do not care about helping their patients.
I'd developed severe back and arm pain suddenly, and my PCP was no help. I took my health into my own hands and started coming here. I'm on the road to recovery thanks to Dr. Shant and the team. I appreciate that he takes the time to explain things to me. It was my first exposure to acupuncture and I'm glad I found this clinic.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
