Unfortunately I can not recommend this place. Yes, the doctor was nice, and I was told a sleep test would be ordered. Yes, I know it always has to go thru the insurance first, so I waited 2 to 3 weeks, and since I didn't hear anything from them, I called and had to leave a voicemail. I later got a call to let me know it was still pending, so I waited 2 to 3 more weeks and had to call again and was told still nothing. My condition kept worsening and I couldn't continue waiting because I was at the point where I would start to doze off while driving for more than 30 minutes and at work regardless if sitting down or standing up. I found another place that was able to help me by getting me the procedure I needed as fast as possible. I didn't only need a nice doctor, I also needed the office staff to be efficient with the goal of helping the patients as soon as possible. Maybe they have more patients than they can handle, I don't know, I just know they were fast to bill my insurance and send me the bill for my visit copay and nothing else was done about my case. In a way, I am glad this bad experience happened, so I would find a perfect place up in Carlsbad.
I liked this place at first, I’ve been coming here consistently for two+ years to fix a long term ear issue, however you quickly realize they don’t answer phones, they don’t call back, they don’t fill prescriptions- you have to call minimally twice to get your prescriptions filled. The scheduling person doesn’t schedule and doesn’t call you back, you need to call her all the time to see any progress, and then if and when you do get a surgery scheduled it’s LAST MINUTE like next day instead of being able to plan ahead for a surgery- request time off and such. For whatever reason their office phone will tell you that you’re calling out of office hours or they are randomly closed that day. You can leave a message but you won’t get called back. I even called after surgery with some pretty significant concerns and I never got called back. I went in for my follow up and a different female doctor was like “why didn’t you call?” “Giiiirrrrl- I did. Twice.”. It’s rough having a flaky Doctor and an entire flaky office.
I had an appointment early this morning with Hillcrest Ear Nose & Throat. I was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection and 2 prescriptions were to be sent over to the pharmacy. At 1 o’clock I verified that my pharmacy had not received the prescriptions. Since no one answered the phone at the Hillcrest Ear Nose & Throat I drove over. I was told the office staff had left early for day and there was no way of contacting them until the morning. So now I sit at the emergency hospital since Hillcrest Ear & Throat failed me. I WOULD AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COST.
I came here for ringing in my ear and had a very positive experience. All other doctors were booking a month out, and I got in here the next day! The receptionist was very kind and polite. I do not remember the nurses name, but she was so kind and sweet to me. She went above and beyond to help me and showed a lot of compassion. The doctor was also very nice and prescribed me medicine to help. I left here extremely satisfied and I look forward to my future appointments here.

Just had a great experience here as a new patient. All of my concerns were listened to with care and evaluated appropriately. Dr. Driskill was kind, patient, and understanding. I would highly recommend this office for any ENT concerns/issues.
I was referred to this office by a dentist because of Sleep Apnea. I am writing comments for potential patients who believe the doctors will help you with your condition. I met with Dr. Driskill in November 2023 who told me he was not the correct doctor to consult for Sleep Apnea. I then had to make another appointment to see Dr. Donaldson for another consultation. In January 2024 my appointment consisted of a consultation and an order for a CAT scan for a sinus problem which was noted as negative. Any follow up paper work was followed up by myself and my primary physician to Hillcrest ENT. During this three month period I only heard from Dr. Dondaldson to tell me he wanted to be certain that I could breathe during an Airway Procedure for Diagnostic purposes only. The staff never called me even though Fax letters were sent and emails of medical records sent twice by myself. Each time I did the follow-up the message was we do not have the paper work. It is now the end of February with a final suggestion, come back for another consultation. I do not recommend this ENT practice unless you wish to do the heavy lifting, and gathering of all medical records on your own behalf because this office will not do it. If you are up for arduous phone calls, continuous follow up to order medical records which they claim are never received, then maybe this is the place for you to get your ENT healthcare. Certainly was not mine because of a waste of time and energy with no results.

Do not got to this ENT. They never answer the phone and they do not call back ever. I went in to have my deviated Septum checked and they looked at it for two minutes. Then sent me home with no paperwork. They promised to call me after they get the go ahead from my insurance but never did. Then they send me a bill and nobody ever followed up with me. Also the nurses and the staff were not welcoming and lacked professionalism.
I sought medical attention due to persistent congestion over the past six months. After consulting with Dr. Donaldson and undergoing a CT scan, he diagnosed me with a deviated septum. Dr. Donaldson suggested a Turbinate Reduction as an initial, less invasive approach to address my symptoms before considering more extensive procedures. One-month post-procedure, I am delighted with the results. Despite some discomfort during the procedure, the entire process took only 30 minutes, and the recovery was painless. I now experience improved breathing through both nostrils, enhanced sense of smell, and, I believe, improved hearing. The result was far better than I hoped for. I highly recommend Dr. Donaldson based on my positive experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
