List of Kaiser Permanente Positive Choice Integrative Wellness Center's Reviews
I would give zero stars if i could. I ask Kaiser to think about the process they use, its very disorganized and difficult to obtain care. When referred by my doctor iv was put on a waiting list that after 4 months i was removed from, or some how was dropped off of the list. There is no way to respond to messages in app when receiving a message. Priority seem strange, it seems like people get skipped and are not getting care, and based off these reviews it seems I am feeling justified. Some people I personally know are getting care in a week or two while I feel I have been waiting over a year.
I have taken part in their options program and and it has helped me tremendously. I also enjoy the weekly support group. It helps with accountability as well as provides a sense of community, since we all have similar struggles. The dietitians are very supportive.
The Positive Choice has been a huge help to me in losing weight and improving my health. From the Healthy Balance classes, to online/FB support groups, to the exercise videos on their website and YouTube, I have found numerous sources of support. Thank you!
I did not appreciate the recent video call with Eva license number 48404. I was not feeling heard, and I feel like she was answering questions for me based off my medical chart which is over seven years old and even referring to my time in foster care from 10 years ago. She was not open to any new feedback of my current lifestyle, or life in general. I would also like to mention that she would change my answer to further her conclusion that I was not mentally ready for my day-to-day life. On one of the questions it was related to binging, and she totally disregarded what I said, and completely changed my answer, she kept insinuating that I was lying and kept saying that she felt as if I was not being truthful. The whole situation was very confusing because I was trying to answer the questions the best to my ability, but then she would change the answer that I would give her. I was under the assumption the medical questionnaire was in regards from my current life from three months to six months of time, not from my whole entire life span. At one point in time she told me I lied about a question, and it was pertaining to me having worry for my day-to-day life. Normally I am not worried, I’m mainly focused on school. However, I do have a surgery tomorrow, October 12, 2023. I’ve never been under anesthesia so I am a little worried how it might affect me, but I feel that is perfectly normal and acceptable due to the fact that again I have never had surgery. I would also like to notate that she was late to our meeting, and repeatedly told me she had other patients to attend to. She specifically stated that we had not even gotten halfway through the questionnaire, and she had to move on to the next patient. For one hour video call I was not able to complete a questionnaire, I was not heard, I felt as if my feelings were not valued, or respected. I felt that the pressures of her workload, and the pre-assumption ideas that she had of my answers made it very difficult to be heard or understood. She kept referring to the fact that I had PTSD, and told me that I’ve never received the help that I needed for it. I felt totally disregarded from the steps I took into bettering my mental health. I’ve gotten on medication, I have spoken to therapists before and I feel that in my current life I am much better and I am on a journey of further future growth. All in all it was a horrible experience.
I think about a third to a half of the participants have been in this program before, so it works for losing weight, but the focus isn't on teaching you how to keep it off. The "product" (low calorie food replacement) works very well, but I think the program is badly designed and poorly administered. I lost 80 of the 100 lbs I wanted to lose, but after an arbitrary 20 weeks I was required to transition to a new session rather than allowed to continue doing what had been working. The unnecessary interruption of continuity, plus their holiday shutdown, broke my rhythm and after I missed two weekly classes in a row they told me I needed to pay a $150 admin fee to be allowed to continue. Im so angry I could eat a whole cake :) There are other policies that seem designed to simplify administration, but create a hassle for the client. If you can afford it, you can lose the weight, but have some other plan for keeping it off. They get a lot of repeat business.
I love that everything is one way process. Temperature check at the front door.. then make your way to the 4th floor to the check in desk. Order your products . Then go to the 6th floor to self weight in . Move on to check into the lab for your check in or blood draw. Finally walk down the hall to pick up your products and your done .. painless and safe . Great location, perfect customer service. I feel safe and it shows the steps they have taken towards keeping up with Covid protocols

March 2020, my husband and I joined positive choice, then COVID happened. We started shopping online according to Positive Choice suggestions of eating more plant based options. Our type of eating has changed as well as our committed exercise routines. We attend the Blackboard online classes and continue to enjoy the new eating and continued classes. We feel healthier and my husband has lost over 30 pounds. I feel stronger and more prepared for an upcoming surgery. We are grateful for our teacher Lizzy and all the great choices of exercises classes! We highly recommend Positive Choice! John and JoJo

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
