I booked a couple’s hot oil massage by phone — the receptionist was friendly and patient, which gave me the impression that it would be a smooth and relaxing experience. However, the actual massage was far from what I expected. For a significant portion of the session, Alice/Mary used her elbow to apply pressure to my body. While I understand that elbows are often used in deep tissue massages, it felt excessive — almost like it was the only technique used — and I honestly started to wonder if this was even a hot oil massage at all. My hair kept getting in the way once the massage started. Instead of tying it up or wrapping it, she repeatedly flipped it aside or left it stuck to my neck while continuing to rub over it, which was uncomfortable. She also asked me to move up on the bed, but each time she applied pressure afterward, my throat ended up pressing against the top edge of the bed, making it hard to breathe and very unpleasant. She spent very little time on the front of my body and skipped over several areas altogether. I was completely confused during the head and face portion — she seemed to be scratching or lightly touching my face with no real pressure, which felt random and ineffective. The room itself was also uncomfortably cold. The bed wasn’t heated, there was no extra blanket, and large areas of my body were left exposed for extended periods, making it hard to relax. Aside from the back and shoulder portion, it barely felt like a massage — and certainly not what I would consider a “deep tissue” treatment. To top it off, as we were leaving, the two masseuses followed us, quickly handing over ice-cold water and clearly angling for tips. We explained that the experience wasn’t what we expected, yet they continued to push for tips, saying we should’ve told them if the pressure wasn’t enough and that they “would’ve done more” if asked. This misses the point entirely — we weren’t just unhappy with the pressure but with the overall quality and professionalism of the experience. We came here to relax, but instead left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. I’ve been to enough massage places to know what a good massage should feel like — and this wasn’t it. Being pushy about tips after such a poor service only made it worse. I would not recommend this place. People deserve to get what they paid for, and this fell far below expectations.

We just finished a couples massage and chose the deep tissue option (which cost an extra $5). This was by far the worst deep tissue massage I've ever had. The person massaging me used absolutely no pressure—it honestly felt like they were just scratching me. I could’ve given myself a better massage, not gonna lie. And to top it off, they rushed out at the end to ask us for a tip? Honestly, I’m tempted to ask for a refund. Would recommend this place only to people who have money to burn and no better way to spend it. (For reference, our massage therapists were Alice & Mary.)
