Written 02/01/22: I have nothing but high praise for Dr. Timothy Carman at LJHR. After extensive research on hair restoration and surgeons, I decided on an FUE procedure. I read a lot of reviews on a lot of surgeons, some good and some not. I read great things about Dr. Timothy Carman in La Jolla, CA, but found little on his experience with FUE. So I emailed him. His reply was quick and candid. He was an FUT surgeon, not an FUE surgeon. We exchanged a few more emails and I decided to meet with him in person. After doing that, I knew 2 things: I wanted Dr. Carman to do my hair restoration and, for me, FUT was a better option than FUE. I want to emphasize that Dr. Carman never tried to talk me into FUT. He explained the differences between FUT and FUE in easy-to-understand language. He made sure I knew the pros and cons of each. He showed me what he could and couldn't do for me. He answered all my questions and invited me to contact him if I thought of any more. I underwent FUT on January 19, 2022. Got just under 2500 grafts. Dr. Carman and his surgical team were phenomenal. Everyone on the team was an integral part of the procedure. Each was clearly experienced and skilled, and also very considerate and professional. Dr. Carman's office manager promptly replied to every email inquiry I sent. She still does. I'm about 2 weeks post-op now and doing great. The post-op instructions were detailed and easy to follow. I'll see Dr. Carman again in 6 months and, by 12-14 months post-op, I should see my final results. I know it's early, but I wanted to document my initial impressions of, and experience with, Dr. Carman. I'm very impressed.

Had my hair transplant in March so the final results are not realized, however i wanted to write this review. Dr Carman is a great surgeon and I really appreciate his approach. He treated me with respect and I was never rushed. I am happy with my FUT scar which is not very noticeable. Look forward to seeing how my hair looks 8-10 months from now. Would recommend Dr Carman to anyone out there. I drove from LA to see him!

Waited for 30 minutes past our appointment and when the kind receptionist went in to ask the doctor when we would be seen we heard him SNAP at the sweet woman! RUDE, PRETENTIOUS, DO NOT VALUE YOUR TIME, DO NOT RECOMMEND.
