I am forever in debt to Dr. Welch. From the day we first met him, he showed more concern and kindness than any physician Daniel had ever seen before. Our almost 4 year old son suffers from asthma and sinus infections. Within 10 minutes of his initial interaction with our son, he knew exactly what to do. He adjusted his medication, dosage, entire asthma action plan and recommended surgery. It's been a year from that day and our son, Daniel is a changed kid. He isn't limited anymore, he's able to enjoy playing outside and his quality of life has tremendously improved. During this challenging journey, I've found myself more exasperated than I'd ever admit, but Dr. Welch continues to encourage me. When I e-mail him, he responds almost immediately advising me how to help Daniel. Every visit he assures me that Daniel will be better one day, that this is not permanent. Thinking about how one person made the biggest difference in my son's life brings me to the brink of tears. I am forever grateful for having him in our life. It is no wonder he has been awarded one of San Diego's top doctors!
Dr. Welch is a FANTASTIC doctor, he was very patient with my daughter and very knowledgeable in what he does, made my daughter laugh several times,he was checking her ears and kept doing this birdie sound that my daughter loved, my daughter has been getting sick every month since the beginning of this year and he was able to help her, i highly recommend this doctor. thank you Dr. Welch.
Dr. Welch is great in every way. Great for kids but also for adults. He took good care of me, and my son. Very knowledgeable, proactive, caring and efficient. He really takes the time to sit down and understand all of the issues. Great staff, too. Highly recommend.
Dr. Welch has helped my kids control their asthma and bad pollen allergies. He is friendly, caring, and a good doctor.
This man is AMAZING! He is excellent! I wish I could give him more stars. I have been looking for a Asthma specialist for my 3 year old daughter for the last year and a half, and NO ONE wants to do their job correctly. They let the computer do everything for them and when there is a mistake they do not take any responsibility for it. Dr. Welch gave me and my daughter the time that we deserve to listen and actually care (which you don't get a lot of anymore). He does his research and keeps up with the new medications. He knows his stuff! While I was waiting for the appointment to start I was read 1 or the 2 books he has written for parents. After getting through about the first 5 pages I was heated! All the symptoms my daughter had in the past, the previous "doctors" looked right past and blew them off as something else. My daughter is very shy when it comes to men. And she was very comfortable with Dr. Welch. At the end of the appointment we were walking out and she turned around, ran back to him and gave him a hug around his knees. WINNER! I just wish he could be her doctor for everything! Thank you Dr. Welch for being such an amazing person and truly caring about your patients.
DO NOT SEE DR. WELCH for your childs peanut allergy He wont tell you anything different than your pediatrician There are no studies currently to help your child with their food allergy Save your money Our appointment cost $1000 and did not include any confirmatory testing. He didnt give us any new information and when we tried to get information over the phone as to what the appointment would entail are there currently any programs going to help children with peanut allergies we were told that we had to see the Dr. Now we have no new information but are out $1000 of our hard earned money. What a shame

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
