Rachel is a wonderful resource when it comes to nutrition and children. She was very patient and present while reviewing the food choices I was making for my children. I literally brought in 2 bags full of food containers/boxes to review with her! She helped me to feel more balanced in the approach I was taking and less guilty about not being perfect about nutrition, while at the same time offering sound advice on healthy eating. I would highly recommended Rachel for nutritional concerns or nutritional education when it comes to children.
o: You After working with a child Nutritionist, Rachel Rothman, I realized that having nutrition is not about dieting, losing weight, but it is about preventing eating disorders, and building your child up. I have learned how to help my kids accept all foods, giving them the knowledge that there is no "bad" or "good" foods. Food is fuel for us, it is not supposed to be used to make children feel guilty or ashamed for eating certain foods, especially sweets. I loved that Rachel was able to explain to me that I do not need to be “scared” of sweets and sugary treats, but to accept it as part of the foods that kids like to eat, and learn how to set boundaries to help kids not feel deprived but also not too indulgent. It is hard to implement it, but I have learned that this is not a perfect process and I am still fine-tuning it. The most important change happened when I realized that as long as I move, as long as my kids move, doing some activities for at least 2 hours per day, and we eat meals prepared at home for the most part, then we are ok. This helped me with limiting the stress of constantly thinking about food, weight, sweets, it felt like I have more space in my brain to think/worry of other things, and as a mom, there are always more things to think about J. If you are like me, then you have had asked yourself these types of questions throughout the motherhood: Do I do enough for my kids? Am I a good role model for my kids? Am I present for them? Am I good mom? Working with Rachel, put my mind at ease when I was asking these questions when it came to food and nutrition. I allowed myself to make mistakes and find new solutions without putting unnecessary stress on our kids.
I took Rachel's group course on nutrition and it has changed the way I think about how my toddler eats! Before I took the course, I was so concerned about how much and what he was eating - the stress was constant throughout mealtimes and beyond. After weeks of learning from Rachel, however, I was able to relax and now I stress so much less about my toddler's eating habits. That, for me, has been the biggest benefit of this course, but her tips and guidance on all types of eating issues were also incredibly helpful! Rachel's ongoing support has been such a tremendous tool as we navigate this new world of parenting!
Nutrition in Bloom has my HIGHEST recommendation. It is very important to me that my boys (20-months and 6-months) eat and enjoy healthy foods. Learning to feed my family has been one of the most difficult aspects of parenting. It's a lot of work! That's where Rachel comes in. I first went to Rachel's Intro to Solids course, and later to her Peaceful Mealtimes online course. I keep her resources in a binder, post them on my fridge, use her recipes, and follow all her tips on social media. Rachel has single-handedly taught me how to feed my boys. Her approach makes me confident in feeding them. If I had not taken her course, I know that the stress of feeding my boys healthy food would have done me in, and I probably would have taken counterproductive approaches. Today, I can say that both my boys have a wonderful palate and do so well with eating (and if they don't want to eat something some days, that's ok too.) We get so many compliments on how our boys are "good eaters." I have referred all of my friends to Rachel. I refer moms I meet at the park or in passing. We will be at playdates and discuss, "What would Rachel do in this situation?" Heck, we wish Rachel was at the playdates with us. She's awesome all-around!! Whether you want to get your family started eating well, or have run into some roadblocks, you must visit Nutrition in Bloom.

I reached out to Rachel after my daughter was constantly having reactions to cows milk, soy milk, and other milk products. We were trying to transition her from her formula to a milk product, but kept running into road blocks. Rachel helped to put my stress at ease and we developed a plan for my daughter that has worked very well. Rachel also encouraged me to take things one step at a time, as to not overwhelm myself, or overwhelm my daughters digestive system. She was so helpful and the notes she provides after our meetings are extremely helpful. She is a great resource and super supportive. Rachel also responds quickly when I have reached out, which includes emails on the weekends. I highly recommend her services, as well as following her on Facebook, as she hosts a lot of informational classes and provides wonderful tips and recipes.
Rachel is not only knowledgeable, but also passionate about her work. She has great suggestions on things such as designing weekly menus and handling feeding behavior at the same time. She’s also caring and will listen to your concerns with empathy. Great support!
I found Rachel's Facebook group a couple of months ago through a friend. I had been struggling for over a year with my daughter's eating struggles, and I was eager for some help. My daughter seemed to have an insatiable appetite and did not know her limit. Mealtimes were extremely stressful. I often felt overwhelmed and nothing seemed to be working. I took a chance and decided to message Rachel. Rachel was supportive and informative from her very first message. I participated in her peaceful mealtimes class and met with her one on one. Rachel was patient, caring, approachable and supportive. She gave me clear guidance and simple goals. She helped me rethink my approach to feeding my daughter and it WORKED!! I am so incredibly grateful to her! Rachel's advice and perspective were invaluable. Mealtimes are no longer stressful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
