List of Philip Wrotslavsky's Reviews
I went to Dr. Wrotslavsky in October of 2019 for new orthotics. My issue isn't with the Dr. as he was knowledgeable and friendly. However, the way the office is managed and their billing practices are awful. After confirming my appt. the day before, they were a "no show" when I arrived after driving down from Temecula. The janitor tried to help me get their attention as well as their answering service, but no response from their staff. I left messages as well as emailed and got no response as this was in mid March of 2020 and I was coming to pick up my orthotics. I was understanding given the lock down orders. However, I tried again weeks later and still no response. By this time other Doctors were open. My first contact from them was a year later in 2021 when they sent me a bill that didn't reconcile to my insurance or show what I had already paid. To make things clear I wrote a letter asking them to provide detail and show what I have paid and the response was the same bill with a threat to send me to collections. I am now filing grievances with my insurance company as well as the state insurance comissioner as these kinds of practices are extremely unethical. $685 spent and still no apology or orthotics.
Dr Wrotlasvsky performed a subtalar fusion on my right foot. The operation went very well, I almost had no pain and I was able to walk after 3 months in crutches. It has been now 7 months since my operation and I can walk 8 miles without difficulties. Dr Wrotlasvsky always explained the issue and took the time to answer all our questions. He never pressured me to do the surgery and encouraged me to get a second opinion. After the surgery, he made himself available through text and was very responsive. I would strongly recommend him.
What can I say. One of the most attentive Dr.s I know. I had my surgery back in July but due to diabetes I developed an infection and I am working with him to get it better. (I am almost there) The surgery was very invasive and several issues going on, but I am pain free and the surgery was a success. He has answered every question or concern I have had, at times when most Dr's wouldn't be answering their phones! I highly recommend him.
I came to Dr.Wrotslavsky for a double bunionectomy. I’m 22, so I was nervous for my first major surgery but Dr.W had no problem with answering all of my questions and concerns. He was the first podiatrist I saw when considering the surgery, but I didn’t continue looking for other surgeons because he was very knowledgeable, honest, and upfront about what I should expect. I loved the way he gave me different options for the surgery, gave me his opinion on which method was best, and ultimately gave me the freedom to choose how I wanted to go about it. He even made himself available via text post op in case there were any problems or concerns. Overall, he did a fantastic job on my feet and I couldn’t be more pleased! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great podiatrist in the SoCal area!
I had foot-deformity surgery from Dr Wrotslasky. The surgery took 2 operations. DrWrotslasky did good job to straightenn my foot and toes. I would highly recommend Dr Wrotslasky for foot deformity operations.
I am so grateful we found Dr. Wrotslavsky! After years of debilitating pain from bone-on-bone, end stage post traumatic arthritis in my left ankle and a 2 inch leg discrepancy (also in my left leg) from a car accident in 2014, Dr. Wrotslavsky. was the first doctor who actually gave me hope. My previous doctors all told me there were no other options but to fuse my ankle and live with the leg discrepancy and the pain that came with it.I had all but given up, when I went in for a consultation with Dr. Wrotslavsky. He presented options that I didn’t even know existed and explained them all, in detail, to my wife and I. Dr. Wrotslavsky performed 2 surgeries on me at the same time; he fused my ankle and extended my left leg with an external fixator. After the initial surgeries, after three months in the fixator, Dr. Wrotslavsky, again, presented us with options, explaining the pros and cons of each option, for the next step in my recovery. I chose to have the fixator removed and a stabilizing rod implanted into my leg while my bone continued to fill in.Long story short, my legs are equal lengths now, my back is feeling better, and my ankle is stable. Dr. Wrotslavsky and his entire staff were proactive and supportive in my care before the surgeries and especially during the long recovery process. I would recommend Dr. Wrotslavsky and his staff!
Dr. Wrotslavsky was my second-opinion doctor, before I decided to go with surgery (one of the options mentioned by the initial specialist I saw). Dr. W. never tried to talk me into using him; rather, he acknowledged the other doctor's expertise and said that if I decided to do the surgery, it was a straightforward one (I had a tarsal coalition) that either of them could do for me.I had put off the idea of surgery for 3-4 years before seeing Dr. W., since the pain was sporadic and tolerable, and I was afraid of surgery making things worse, but I knew the issue may cause me more trouble/pain in later years. I was sooo happy after meeting Dr. W. for the second opinion, given how informed I felt when I left his office; he never pushed me on surgery but made sure I understood the pros/cons of each option, so that I could make the right decision for myself. I felt like he treated me the same way he would have if I were a family member of his trying to make the same decision.I had the surgery from Dr. W. in August of 2019, and my recovery has been far ahead of schedule (have been hiking and jogging for quite some time already). I was so nervous going forward with the surgery, but couldn't be happier with the result.I'm sure every procedure has its own unique challenges, but the one piece of advice I'd give that I hope would apply for everyone is to not freak out with setbacks during recovery! For the first month or so, it felt like progress was 2 steps forward, 1 step back, but I quickly realized that things I would worry about (e.g., heavy bruising I saw one day after some prescribed exercises) was normal. Dr. W.'s feedback was always spot on, and he was always just a text or phone call away to address concerns.Dr. Wrotslavsky was the perfect choice for my issue, and I highly recommend him. I wish good foot and ankle health/repair/recovery for all of you, and that your experience is as successful as mine has been, no matter who you may use.
Dr Wrotslavsky knows what he's doing. I had bunions on both feet. He explained, in detail, the procedure and recovery. He takes the time to patiently answer all my questions pre and post surgery. I'm so glad to finally be pain free and have my bunions fixed.
Dr Wrotslavsky operated on my foot one year ago and I am very happy with the results. I can walk again without pain. I was referred to him by another podiatrist that no longer performed surgery. Both my husband and I immediately felt comfortable with him as he explained the problems with my foot, went over the options and answered questions in lay person language. The surgery went great and much to my surprise and happiness I had very little pain afterwards. The worse part was not putting any weight on it for the first phase of recovery which can't be helped. The follow up treatment was excellent and the time frame for full healing was what Dr. Phil had prepared me for. Dr. Phil took time with me, was caring and kind. I highly recommend him.
Absolutely the BEST!! All the other doctors I had seen were afraid to operate on my multiple Lisfranc fractures. However, one of them did say, "If anyone can do it, it's Dr. Wrotslavsky!" So, I was able to get a consultation with him and the rest as they say, "Has been history!" My foot is all back together and healing amazingly. He truly gave me my life back. I was looking at having to be a disabled, homebound person and now I will be able to return to work soon and have my quality of life back. And, not to mention, that on top of being a brilliant surgeon, he is one of the nicest, most compassionate and caring people I've met in a long time. My family and I will forever be grateful to him. Thank you!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
