Julie is amazing. Been seeing her since post recovery from breast cancer. She has helped me tremendously with getting my body, mind and soul back. She dives deep into root causes and puts you on a plan that is unique to what is going on in your body. My energy is back, feeling my best again, and the post trauma of cancer treatment is gone. Very happy I found her!!!
I can’t thank Lan enough! Spent years with western medicine drugs and doctors while looking for solutions to help my child with his chronic sinusitis with no help. After only one month of working with Lan and my son has been sinus infection free! I’m amazed! Lan is also so caring and available!
Dr. Lan has been a huge source of relief for my chronic pain issues. She knows exactly how to treat me each time I go in, and I always feel so much better the next day. I love that it only takes 30 minutes to get in and out and has such huge benefits. She has three private rooms with heated beds and soothing sounds. It’s easy to schedule and she’s very responsive through text for questions or scheduling! Dr. Lan took care of checking my insurance and making sure my sessions were covered. If you’re looking for an acupuncturist who is easy to communicate with, kind, knowledgeable, and takes insurance, go see Dr. Lan!
Lan Quach is truly my hero! She has helped me not only survive, but thrive, and feel amazing in the 2+ years I've been seeing her. Sometimes I see her more frequently and sometimes it's just for a simple tune-up. Her goal is always to achieve an optimum balance of health. Lan delivers a level of care to her patients that is hard to find in other disciplines of healthcare. I highly recommend.
I have been going to Dr Lan for several years it was a chance meeting she walk into where I was working and we got to chatting and she told me she would is a Chinese Medicine Dr as well as acupuncture. She has help me so much over the years. She is very kind and gentle. I relax just knowing I am going to see her. It’s the best part of my week. I relax for the time in nice relaxing room with soft lighting. It’s a very clean and safe environment. I have back and hip issues as well as other issues and her treatment gets me through my week. I telling you you will not be disappointed she will exceed all of your expectations. I also take the herb and CBD cream and I will not go anywhere with out my Bone Water & medical grad CBD as I have tried many before I got mine from her. It has lasted me a long time as a little goes a very long way. Thank you Dr Lan for take such good care of me Renee Vaughan
Where to begin: Feeling hopeful and off to a great start. Dr Lan Quach, a board certified acupuncturist and herbalist who is knowledgable, generous with her time for patients and fair. 1. Expertise: She is thorough and brings both expertise and extensive experience to her practice. She has quickly zeroed in on issues, that we had yet to show her from labs, and found them through her intake (tongue check, pulse, assessment). I have been to many good and some average to below average acupuncturists/herbal medicine folks and she stands out very positively. We are at the beginning of treatment and so will update this in the future. 2. Communication: As you may know, communication is a central key to the healther/doctor-patient relationship. Without it, no matter how good the expertise, the healing and plan can break down. I am impressed with her committment to good clear communication with both my daughter and myself. 3. Food Nutrition knowledge and coaching: Practical and encouraging. If you do not like to cook or don't have a lot of access to a full kitchen, she will customize and help you come up with good easy options that are still fresh and delicious. She even will help you with insights about types of products from Trader Joes. Remember many products may have the right catch phrases on the front, but look at the fine print on the back. 4. Billing and Integrity: She has been very clear about costs and even worked with us on a plan after the first visits (in person and phone consults) so we could all decide if a fit. I have rarely met a CA accupunturist who will bill insurance, though some will give you the paperwork to submit. I have been pleased with the billing options and time received for service. If anything, she is erring on the side of the patient with her attention to you vs the clock. Thank you, Merci Lan Quach.
Hit the age of 40 and everything was starting to feel "off". Low energy, brain fog, irregular menstrual cycles , etc. I finally went to my dr for annual exam + blood work and turns out I'm in peri-menopause phase. This was NOT at all on my radar and although my GP is great, she didn't really offer any advice as to how to manage symptoms (mentioned above). I reached out to Pivotal and Julie reviewed my results. Immediately drew up a plan that consists of supplements, dietary recommendations and of course exercise (which I am still working on). Within a month - I am feeling way better, more energy and have a plan to live healthier !
I honestly feel like Dr. Quach/San Diego Family Acupuncture saved my life. She has treated me for the symptoms of autoimmune disease Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, including chest pain, heart palpitations, and anxiety. I had never tried acupuncture before but I was desperate for some help. I left my first visit at San Diego Family Acupuncture feeling an immediate relief of my chronic chest pain. Dr. Quach is comforting and so obviously knowledgeable about what she does. I will be a patient of San Diego Family Acupuncture and Dr. Quach forever. The environment at San Diego Family Acupuncture is so calming and tranquil. I have been recommending Dr. Quach to anyone who will listen. I wish I could give more than 5 stars in this review!
Dr. Lan is amazing! I came to her in July after suffering from a horrible skin rash. For months, I spent so much money for doctors to put me on steroids and antibiotics and I saw no relief or positive results. I was emotionally and physically drained from this rash. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Lan and I visited her immediately. She was easy to reach and book an appointment. Her booking is flexible, but most of all, her knowledge on herbs and nutrients needed is on point. Her acupuncture puts me to sleep. So relaxing! Currently, I feel so good and my rash has subsided. I see her twice a week and will continue to. Thank you Dr. Lan!
Jules is amazing! I was a little on the fence at first about trying out acupuncture, but it is definitely more than that. I went in due to chronic fatigue and just over all funkiness. I have been going for a few months now and not only have I seen improvements in mood and sleep but I am slowly finding myself wanting to actually be healthier due to Jules direction on diet and supplement intake. Nothing changes over night and she does a great job of hammering that point, her process is very methodical and direct, without being coercive of course. It doesn't hurt to have someone back home keeping you in check either... I always leave my appointments feeling so refreshed and relaxed, its awesome. If you're like me and a little apprehensive about medical settings or tired of your doctor ignoring your symptoms, give her a try!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
