Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital's Online Review Report Card

Ok. So I've been to Mesa Vista st least 5 times which obviously means I've always had a great experience there and felt like I was helped. Their ECT team is awesome there and I felt safe and in good hands the social worker Kenneth Higgins , was is also awesome and deserves praise for his hard work and genuine spirit. There are also a number of great staff members and technicians that work on their team. However; I was very sad with this new Dr dr mazzuda they brought on. She is completely arrogant and full of herself and does not listen to the patien.....😔 And I'm not even angry about it, its honestly is just sad that they brought on a couple of really nasty people to such a great place!

I highly recommend the IOP program to anyone considering it. I'm grateful I attended a couple years ago. The program is exceptional, supported by a compassionate & professional team. It takes real courage to be honest with yourself, your therapists, and the group around you. It can feel overwhelming at first, but trust that it gets easier & more meaningful with each step. I also found peace in sitting out in the garden after sessions, taking time to reflect & journal.

I hate to be the barer of bad news, (and people who say that in movies always have bad news) but this hospital is like an asylum. The staff suddenly barge in your room when you're just hanging out and corner you and hold you down and give you an injection when you were having a good day. You don't even have to yell, you can just relax in your room for 30 minutes and a bunch of angry people barge in and hold you down and do an injection on you. More often than that though you just have an ordinary conversation with someone and go in your room to do some writing and then they barge in and inject you. Out of the times they barge in and inject you, it's rare that you will actually throw something beforehand. And of course I haven't ever attacked anyone so that is out of the question.

This hospital is so professional. I stayed seven (7) days and the care was superior! The staff was so helpful and the organization was superb. I had all my serious symptoms addressed with my doctor and staff. The nurses and doctors and psychologists were excellent and always worked as a team. Food was great, and the groups were interesting. My stay was superior! Thank you all for the best care I have ever experienced.

I hate this place so much. It was so traumatizing and made my mental health so much worse. The staff were rude and unhelpful as well.

Don't remember much but I remember I was here multiple times as a teenager in the 90s because I was so bad my mom didn't know what to do with me lol..so it was hey let's stick him in the hospital for a couple weeks, had some interesting roommates that's for sure

The ECT program at Sharp Mesa Vista has been very helpful to us. Many compassionate and committed professionals work there under the oversight of Dr Morache, who personally administers most of the treatments. Many drugs resistant, severely depressed patients, like my husband, have been in- patient and outpatient there, and finally find rellief through this underappreciated and underutilized form of healing.
