This was my second disc surgery. I had one done 5 years ago. I was pain free for 5 years, then I herniated another disc this year. Had my surgery the end of May. By August I was all healed up! Went for my last followup last week and gave Dr. Kureshi a big hug! I would recommend him to everyone!!
Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable, most importantly they listen to you and dont rush thru your appointment.
Dr Kureshi is wonderful. He listens and then is very detailed in his feedback. He is very professional and personable. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon.
This will be my 3 rd scheduled fusion here, my second with Dr Kureshi and his team. After my second spinal fusion done by Dr Kureshi I was actually pain free, which I didn't expect. Unfortunately for me I have a learning experience with my degeneration and how quickly it progresses. After an accident of 4 months pain free , basically, I was given the choice of doing another MRI or waiting it out. I've been in chronic pain for almost 4 years and I would rather have Dr Kureshi and team take care of me ASAP. Which is still a while because of his popularity of being awesome! I think they get a kick out of how excited I am to have another surgery, but it's only because I know they will fix me again. I have no fear of it because he's the best. And his team is the best. They always have my best interest in mind and listen to my concerns of where I am going with this. If you can suffer an extra 4 months to get it done by him, I promise it's worth the suffering. And I have suffered immensely. Thanks to everyone from Kureshi, Rachel, Suzanne, Vanessa, Debbie and the front desk. The best!
Dr. Kureshi is always very nice and takes all the time needed to answer questions and put my mind at ease. He is amazing.
I'm really appreciate and grateful have this privilege Dr. Kureshi as my surgeon and treat me as I expected and received. God blessing him. Thank you
The staff was very professional. Dr Kureshi explained what needed to be done in a understandable way.
I arrived today and was impressed with the front office receptionist. She was friendly and professional. Then Debra, Dr Kureshi's nurse greeted me and walked me to the exam room to see Dr Kureshi. Debra was friendly and professional and mentioned that the Dr would be in soon. I was impressed with the fact that when I arrived in this room, that up on the wall were 3 large screens with displays of my spine in various locations. Also I noted that my name was at the top of the display screens. This was comforting and I was pleased to see that there was preparation for my arrival. Very professional and just what I wanted to see/experience for first visit. Then Dr Kureshi came in and introduced himself and shook my hand. He then proceeded to explain the images of my spine and the areas he wanted to discuss. He was excellent in his communication and very thorough. Again, I was relieved and impressed. I also asked the doctor questions and he answered all of them and then I made the decision to proceed with surgery. I have had 18 months of physical therapy, 2 ablation procedures, and 9 epidural injections (to date), all the injections in 90 day intervals. Needless to say, I am now ready to try surgery to hopefully get back to my quality of life again, and reduce the sciatica symptoms. Thank you to all of you and your team of professionals !! I am grateful and hopeful for some positive results. Sincerely, Madeline Young (AUG 23, 2023)
I did not have a neurosurgeon, but my excellent neurologist recommended him. He turned out to be outstanding. He is highly skilled as the multi-layer laminectomy is sealed with glue and you get to go home the same day. It healed and the pain was covered with pain medicine and PT. Amazingly, the surgical wound was painful for a few days and then stiff more than pain and you have to keep moving. In fact I walked a few hours later from the car to the bed, about a 100 feet. Dr Kureshi, has been there for me for either questions or adjustments. I have worked in healthcare for 35 years including for one of the most revered neurosurgeons on the West Coast in SF, and it is a difficult role to be genuinely concerned and personable to patients as some of them die in surgery or their disease progresses despite the best efforts. In order to function, some surgeons become distant, arrogant and are very set in how they do things. There is no meaningful interaction. To be able to fulfill both roles as Dr Kureshi does so well, requires inner strength and development apart from medicine. Thus, he can be very supportive. I highly recommend him. This is my second lami in 15 years.
Dr. Kureshi did all 3 of my back surgiers. He's the best I trust him more than any other neurosurgeon. He really listens and shows he's interested in what you are saying. I'm living in Texas now and I need surgery again but I want his input if I should go forward with another surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
