The Spine Zone program seems very well thought out - and both Dana and Megan, my two primary contacts were really supportive and helpful to work with. This is the place for a sore back!
Thank you Spine Zone in Mission Valley. From the moment I stepped in and read the mission statement I knew this PT experience would be different. I have been through a lot of PT over the years and am extremely impressed with the integrative approach that is taken here-- it is definitely the most comprehensive care I have received and of excellent quality. I only wish the appointments were longer!
If you experience chronic back pain please try physical therapy at SpineZone. Speaking from personal experience, SpineZone is superior to the other PTs that offer programs of a similar time duration. SpineZone has a more specific, targeted set of exercises, stretches, and advice geared towards each patients body and afflictions. They help work towards the goal of reducing discomfort/pain and raising the individuals level of physical and mental health. If you experience chronic back pain please try physical therapy at SpineZone. The team here is great and everyone that I worked with here on my injuries have been helpful. Scheduling has been simple and easy and flexible. I recommend this place for any injuries. All of my questions and concerns were answered throughout the process as well.
I've always hated working on exercise machines, but loved my workouts at Spinezone. The staff was tremendously friendly and helpful, and I especially loved my physical therapist, Tess. My back pain was greatly decreased after a course of treatment at Spinezone.
I had a great experience. Friendly and caring staff. Moises was the reason my back pain disappeared in few weeks.
Moises, my PT, did some amazing work with my issues. I hope to return for more post-omicron, not wanting to be out and about during this time.
This place is absolutely phenomenal! I've been in PT for 4 months and this is by far the best facility with the best people I have ever been to. It's a predominantly female staff which makes me really happy as a woman. I thought I'd need surgery on my back for a slipped disk, but they fixed me up. They helped me get feeling back in my numb toes, learn to walk properly again and fixed all my back pain. Ask for Tess as your therapist, she's the best! This place is absolutely phenomenal! It was wonderful Ernie always smiling and greeting you once you came in the door. All the employees at La Mesa spine zone always wore their masks, and sanitized the equipment used after each patient.I loved that every morning I received a text reminding me to do my physical therapy exercises. The therapists are great, Evan who was my physical therapist always made sure that I did the exercises correctly and always concerned on how was my pain that day and how it felt the next day after therapy, he was wonderful. Also got to work with Alvona, she is also a great physical therapist always making sure I was doing the home exercises.Everybody at the La Mesa location was wonderful I sure hope the get a bigger location, so it would not feel too crowded.
I have been through the Spine Zone program twice. The first time, I was very impressed with the professional approach the clinicians took. I read the book that they provide for new patients and agreed with the premise that much of what ails us with regards to the back, can be alleviated or at least helped with targeted exercises and building muscle strength. I also had a skilled technician who took the time to teach me how to use the machines. About two years later, I went through the program again and left after 2 appointments. It was not the same program at all and I believe the real difference between my first and second program is due to the skill and attention paid by the clinician. In my second go around, the clinician I was assigned was not very friendly, didn't know much about my situation or what brought me to the Spine Zone and actually was scrolling through stuff on her phone when I was working on the machines. Also, she rudely scolded me when she thought I was not using a machine correctly, but never showed me the proper way. As I looked around the facility, I noticed a real change in the atmosphere of the place-no one looked interested or excited about being there and were frankly apathetic.I rated it 3 stars for my first experience and would have rated it much lower for my second experience. I think the administrators of Spine Zone need to do some quality control of their locations and staff. I am not sure if they monitor who gets hired or what their credentials are, but I would not recommend the program the way it currently is.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
