My experience with Kirk was a little bit different. I came after a car accident exacerbated a past brain injury. I found Kirk's fast paced conversation and painful needle injection style to be disconcerting. One of the first needles he put in broke a large vein on the back of my hand and I was bruised for weeks. When I politely told Kirk over text that I wouldn't be continuing treatments with him, he inquired multiple times as to "why," which isn't something one expects to deal with from a professional. Over a year later, Kirk delayed the receipt of my lawsuit payout for months, as he refused to submit the necessary documents to my lawyer. As of yet, I still haven't been able to wrap up my lawsuit due to Kirk's negligence. I cannot recommend this business.

I came here a year ago after a teammate referred me. I had suffered from lower back pain for years so much so that there were entire days where I couldn't really do much due to the pain. After my first treatment it was a about a solid year with no issues. It was night and day. Just returned for a tune up but definitely one of the best results I have gotten and would highly suggest you try Kirk.

My experience at Uptown Accupuncture has been more than I could ever imagine. The amount of physical progress I've made since my first visit is almost unbelievable! Several of my issues have been resolved within one appointment and/or at least kept at bay. Kirk is a skilled acupuncturist who listens well and utilizes several techniques to target and relieve pain. He's also quite personable which helps set the tone for relaxation. Each appointment leaves me feeling renewed on more than one level.

I started treatment with Kirk 14 sessions ago and with his physical treatment and insight he shared about body movement, diet and attitude, I am, for the first time in about 15 years, free of daily pain medication and/or NSAID patches for the chronic pain in my shoulders and upper back. The pain nearly totally vanishes after each session, and though it creeps back after a few days, it's been getting hugely less and more manageable, and I'm able to sleep longer than 4 hours at a time. He's given advice on chiropractic, exercise and massage as well, and he clearly is impassioned to help his patients. I'm a scientist and am always skeptical of 'soft science' but I'm truly a convert after these weeks with Kirk.
