I like Dr. Kalantar. He professional and does a good job of explaining what's going on. I would give him a better rating if it weren't for his office staff and the experience leading up to actually seeing him. His staff can be unprofessional - argumentative, unsympathetic, abrasive. As an example, I called to have the Doctor to explain some important lab results and set up a phone call back. The person I spoke with took all my information (DOB, Phone #, name, etc.) and said they'd have him call me back in two days. When I didn't get his call, she said that I never called and then started blaming me for her errors. When I insisted on contacting him and told him what was going on, he rushed me in and prescribed me some medicine. I could have lost more of my hearing if I'd relied on his staff to do their job correctly.There are long wait times. I think the Doctor took over the practice from another so he has a ton of patients. You have to wait weeks to see him and then when you get there, there are long wait times. I had a 9:00 a.m appointment and didn't get seen until 12:00 p.m. Read some of the other comments regarding his staff. The Doctor probably needs to get rid of the current staff and hire some better ones. Also, he should consider hiring a Physician's Assistant to help with his case load. The total office visit would probably go much smoother for everyone involved.

Best ENT ever, my daughter is a patient and did a procedure for her ears. She was only three at the time and DR kalantar treated her with lots of care. DR Kalantar is very understanding and patient especially with little ones.

I never been there. On 3/7/22 at 9am called to get appointment.all my info on the system ( I’m only one in here ) I call you back in 30 minutes. No call . I called 11 am .. answer the reason she didn’t call you because she’s alone .. took my info again . I’m calling because I’m in pain I need appointment. Ok we will call you .. today ? We will call you .. when ? We will call you . Today 3/16/22 no calls !!! I don’t know the doctor but now I know how’s the staff . And I will not going there.. honest review

Dr Kalentar is wonderful. He takes time to explain everything and answers all questions. I came in with a big list of written questions prior to surgery and he answered each one clearly. He makes you feel comfortable and confident. Staff was also very kind to me with my numerous calls in making arrangements for my surgery during the Covid times and delays. He has a office in San Dimas and Duarte. They squeezed me in in my initial consult as they were aware of all the delays I experienced at other office due to covid. Post surgery comment. I had an amazing recovery due to the meticulous care received. I was told by others it was a 90 minute surgery for A partial thyroid removal. Nurses corrected me and said that Kalanatar would take his time and close to a 4 hour surgery. His care was evident by my recovery and almost 1 year later Im so very pleased with scar that is barely noticeable. You would have to know I had surgery to looked for it.

Prepare to wait forever! Both to get an appointment and to be seen when you arrive. I waited since March for an appointment in July. Once I arrived I waited 1 hour to be seen by the doctor. My appointment was at 2:30, I arrived at 2:10 bc I knew they would want me to fill out new patient forms. Finished by 2:20 and i was finally called back at 3:15. Once in the room I waited an additional 15 minutes until the doctor came in. It was ridiculous. I asked the front desk staff twice what is taking so long and they kept reassuring me I was next. Anyways, bring an iPad and something to do cuz you'll be there until the end of time.

Called today 05/21 to make an appointment, told me next available isn't until August! Wow!!!!!!!!

Dr. Kalantar is a very knowledgeable and professional doctor. Takes the time to listen to your concerns and answer an questions that you may have. However, the reason why I am giving this practice a 1 star is because his office staff lacks professionalism as well as following through with Dr. Kalantars patients. I was referred here by my Primary Doctor unfortunately my interaction with the office staff was not the best. The Office Manager really needs to considered retraining her staff and ensuring that constant communication between patients and staff is administered.

Dr. Kalantar did my septoplasty, and did a sinus scope recently. The result of the surgery is far beyond expectations, and scoping the sinuses was not uncomfortable at all. he clearly explains everything, and is very gentle and caring. highly recommend him.
