List of Adrian J. Rawlinson's Reviews
I've taken both my kids to see Dr Rawlinson and found him to be incredibly competent, knowledgeable and a great first line of treatment for sports related injuries. All my weekend warrior friends start their injury treatments with Dr Rawlinson. He also has a direct line to the best surgeons in town when needed.
Dr. Rawlinson is one in the most thorough clinicians that I have ever met. He he is remedied me on a few occasions, he has great bedside manner, and has strong clinical acumen particularly in orthopedics.
Dr. Rawlinson is fantastic. I'm a mountain-biker & I fall down pretty regularly. Wait times are always minimal & the process from X-ray to consultation has me out quickly. As importantly, the diagnosis and advice toward speedy recovery has been SPOT ON. If I could give more than five stars, I would...Dr. Rawlinson tops all I've seen in my 25 years living in the Bay Area (and I've seen lots)!
Received experienced, helpful information.
Best ortho/sports med doc in the Bay Area. Very caring and understanding. Was able to get to the bottom of my problem with ease and without the use of extensive and expensive tests. Great guy and a wonderful personality.
I have been having back pain for nearly 5 years. I was introduced to Dr. Rawlinson a few years ago when I just could not bear the pain anymore. When I met him he was so polite and straight to the point. I respect Drs more when they just quit beating around the bush and get to it. He not only told me what is going on with my back, HE EXPLAINED IT SO I WOULD UNDERSTAND IT. He recommended for me to go to physical therapy and I just could not believe as something as simple as that, I was feeling much better. I know I have to cut down on my work-outs but that is just stubborn me to do so. But as long as I have back pain I am definitly seeing Dr Adrian Rawlinson..... Keep up the good work!!!!!.
I've struggled with chronic pain for a long time and have been bullied by many doctors. I went to see Dr. Rawlinson with great hope after ignoring my health for many years. Unfortunately, Dr. Rawlinson only spent about 5 minutes with me and only addressed one of my three complaints. Perhaps this is simply the way that medicine is practised these days, but I'm still in a great deal of pain and am tired of fighting for decent care. He was a perfectly nice person, but at no point did I feel like he was paying any actual attention to what I was saying. If you do go see him, make an appointment first thing and tell the front desk staff person to schedule you a longer appointment. I was only scheduled for 15 minutes for a first visit.
I am at the age when things seem to sprain or break rather than just bend, so I have had the opportunity to visit Dr. Rawlinson on more than one occasion. I recommend him unreservedly. He listens to my interpretation of my aches and pains, makes a quick and accurate diagnosis, then explains the treatment options. I am a bit cautious about rushing into a surgical solution and he is patient about going through the medical options with me. He has passed me off to a shoulder or ankle specialist when appropriate. He is also very helpful in the rehab process, suggesting activities that keep me in shape as opposed to just treating the specific injury. My family is very active in high school and recreational sports. We have all seen Dr. Rawlinson, and recommend him.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rawlinson for several years. Each time that I visit his office, I amazed at the depth of his medical knowledge and professionalism. He is extremely responsive to my medical needs and questions. His staff is both helpful and gracious. I unequivocally recommend Dr. Rawlinson to anyone looking for a top notch orthopedist in the Bay Area.
I had a trip and fall injury in 2007 that left me with nagging elbow pain. I have been in the healthcare field for 30 years and had previously, on a professional level, had interaction with Dr. Rawlinson and his practice for several years.During one of our professional meetings, I told him of the pain in my elbow. He stopped what he was doing and asked a couple of questions and had me move my fingertips and conducted a small exam at that moment. It was quite evident that I had needed further examination so I registered as a patient and he saw me in the exam room and initiated an injection. He was extremely professional, changing gears and putting on the doctor hat and fully explaining the diagnosis, treatment plan and the fact that this might temporarily resolve and may return.I have since had two additional injections to this elbow and at the last visit we discussed that I might need surgery. I appreciated his conservative approach, his professional manner and treatment. He has a great personality and takes his time...you never feel rushed to finish your visit. The staff has alway been professional and courteous. As someone who used to run medical practices, I always have my eyes and ears open to how other patients are treated by the office staff. The staff not only treated me with kindness, but all the patients that came into the office while I waiting for my visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
