I cannot recommend AES enough! After trying countless products and treatments with minimal results, this clinic and Kimmy, the brains behind it, was the only thing that truly transformed my skin. The change has been nothing short of dramatic--my complexion has never looked this clear, balanced and healthy before. What made the experience even more amazing was Kimmy! she was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so kind, patient, and supportive throughout the entire process. I always felt like I was in good hands, and she made every visit something to look forward to. If you're struggling with acne and feel like nothing works, give AES a try. Truly changed my skin and taught me how to manage it, and I couldn't be more grateful!

I really don't have the words to fully express how fantastic my experience with Kimmy has been! She cleared my skin in 3 months, something I had been consistently struggling with the last 3 years. I have had acne on and off since college, but had been taking Rx meds (both internal and topical) from the dermatologist for several years to manage it. At the beginning of 2020 I noticed my acne coming back despite still being on the prescription meds. A dermatologist put me on tretinoin and that's when all hell broke loose on my face. My skin was destroyed and I had been trying to figure out how to clear it until August 2023 when I found AES on Yelp. After years of spending money on skincare and feeling hopeless about my skin, I decided to do Kimmy's acne bootcamp. I had my first in-person session in September and graduated bootcamp in December. I've been maintaining at home since then with the skincare regimen that kimmy recommended and the remaining hyperpigmentation I had has faded significantly. My goal was to get my "glass skin" back and not feel like I had to pile on makeup just to leave the house, and I can confidently say that I reached that goal! If you're feeling like you've tried everything with no results, I highly recommend booking with Kimmy and doing the program. Kimmy is one in a million. She completely transformed my skin, and I don't think it's an overstatement to say that she changed my life. My skin was so bad in my late 20s after going off of hormonal birth control, but I didn't want to go back on the pill, and I didn't want to take Accutane or any other drugs. I spent so much money on skincare products and facials, and tried every possible diet, but nothing worked until I met Kimmy! I saw her regularly for about a year and a half and stopped going to her only when I moved out of SF, but I follow her protocol religiously and my skin has stayed clear. Worth every penny! I am so grateful. The "before" photos are from November 2020, which was right before I went to AES for the first time. The "after" photos are from May 2022 - about 2 months since my last appointment with Kimmy.

I should preface my review by stating that I am a dermatologist with mild to moderate acne that began in my 20s. Given my medical training, I have always relied on prescription medications (topical and systemic) to control my acne. However, as my husband and I wanted to try for pregnancy, I knew I would have to stop these medications, most of which are not safe during pregnancy/breastfeeding. I began to search for a different approach to control my acne and found AES. Within 3 months of starting the AES program, my acne was under control while I was off all of my prescription medications. I am now pregnant 6 months into the program and my acne continues to be under good control with the AES products and facials with Kimmy every 4-6 weeks. I love the holistic approach to controlling acne that AES provides and can happily attest that it truly works. Kimmy herself is a lovely person - always optimistic, encouraging, willing to listen, and ever so gentle during extractions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend AES Acne Clinic to anyone struggling with acne, especially if you need a pregnancy-safe approach.

This place has truly changed my life. I have been struggling with acne for quite some time. I showed up a mess and wanted to control my acne no matter what. Where to start!? Kimmy and her team have changed my life and it's hard to even put into words how much she's given me. When I found AES I had been suffering from acne for 10 years, I had tried everything to get rid of it (diet changes(vegan, raw, high carb, low carb, elimination diet, gluten free, sugar free, oil free, organic), doctor visits, dermatologist, naturopath, Chinese medicine, natural topicals(including food), chemical topicals(including curology), not putting anything on my face, cleanses, homeopathy, saunas, steams, facials(peels), de-stressing (meditation, breath work, therapy), sun bathing, antibiotics, natural tinctures, hormone tests...) you name it, I'd probably tried it. If I was lucky a "remedy" would work for a week or two, but my acne would always come back, and it was getting worse over the years. I had resigned to a life with acne and had tried to live my best life despite it; but it finally got to a point where the cysts were creating so much pain and was nearly covering my face that I was struggling to make eye contact with people and that was my breaking point. The universe must have agreed enough was enough and I found AES. I was skeptical at first, having tried SO MANY things in the past with little/no results, I didn't want this to be another waste of money or disappointment. When I reached out I was in disbelief when I was told my acne could be healed in a matter of months, but I thought if there was a chance it could get even the slightest bit better than it was worth it. Kimmy and her team were so kind and understanding. I never felt rushed with all my questions and learned so much about acne and my skin from our first consultation. After our first meeting was over Kimmy offered me a shortbread cookie, despite committing to the bootcamp I was still a little skeptical (I was gluten free, dairy free, and sugar free at the time). She finally convinced me and that was the start of an unconditional trust I now have with Kimmy when it comes to my skin. I have now been acne free for over a year (including while not coming in for treatment during COVID) and not a day goes by where I don't look in the mirror and smile at myself(not exaggerating). For so long I didn't see "myself" in the mirror, and now I get to smile and her everyday! Everyone I know knows my acne story because I STILL find it unbelievable! My face is no longer in pain, my skin is now smooth and soft! When I get compliments on my skin my heart skips a beat and I'm overwhelmed with joy and pride! On top of the physical changes, emotionally I feel empowered when it comes to my skin. I now have all the tools I need to have beautiful, healthy skin. I now have a choice if I want to partake in a trigger with the understanding of how that will effect me, and how to recover if I do get a breakout. I feel less anxious when meeting new people because I can focus on the relationship rather than the pain of my skin. I feel more connected with myself which allows me to express who I am with joy and confidence! As for the appointments themselves, the clinic is so cute! It's so relaxing and the team are so patient and empathetic. I have so much love for each of them! I honestly can't say enough good things about AES, Kimmy and her team. She's honestly given me my life back, and that may sound dramatic but if you know you know!!

I developed horrible skin in my mid 30's... I tried so many different products and went to several different esthetician's, but it kept getting worse. I tried the natural route and the hard core route, but nothing helped. I was told about AES randomly through a friend of a friend, so I decided to check their website out. Best decision of my life!!!! I started with the e- course and got the base of the information down, and then started my virtual appointments with Kimmy. She was so warm, caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable about my issues. We got started on a program and I followed her instructions. Within a few months I started seeing improvements. My painful face I was so embarrassed about slowly became more and more clear. Soon I was having hardly any breakouts. I use to be a major picker but as my skin improved my urge to pick disappeared. I can't love this business enough! And all of this was possible without even going in for an in office visit due to the pandemic, so I can only imagine how much more lovely that could be. My only regret is I wasn't able to give Kimmy a hug! She gave me my confidence back, and I am so thankful for her. I highly recommend AES for everyone and anyone. It takes works and dedication, but Kimmy is with you every step of the way. She is amazing. I truly can't say enough good things!! If you are suffering from acne, this business is a true blessing. I cannot say enough about the incredible care, service, and transformation my skin has experienced through AES. After struggling with adult "hormonal" acne for nearly 10 years (I say "hormonal" because as I learned through the virtual program, everyone, yes even women with crazy cycles or normal cycles, all have hormones. And yet, not everyone experiences the same terrible, deep, painful breakouts I experienced for years. Professionals will often say "hormonal" acne as an excuse for not knowing how to treat the acne.) I was at a total loss. I had seen a dermatologist, naturologist, tried every expensive skin program and treatment, natural supplements, prescription pills, and had already been changing my diet. Out of nowhere my typical cystic breakouts tripled in number and became unbelievably persistent and painful, leaving terrible acne scars on my face. I came across AES through a friend on Instagram. I was skeptical to get started because it was July, in the heart of Covid, and while I live in SF I knew the clinic wouldn't open for in person treatments for a long time. I decided to still start my treatment with AES and couldn't be happier. I completed the virtual program within a couple of weeks and was blown away by how many acne myths Kimmy de-bunked lesson after lesson. I quickly learned that even with the most diligence and expensive cleansers, I was still missing critical pieces to holistically treat my acne. One of the first pieces of starting the cleanse is making sure to only use acne-safe products. It was difficult to need to throw away so many products and cosmetics I've grown accustomed to, but I was desperate and fully bought-in to give it a shot! It took a few weeks to make the product and lifestyle adjustments. After completing the virtual program I started virtual coaching with Kimmy. Having the face-to-face (zoom) touchpoint was so helpful, and Kimmy couldn't have been more encouraging, helpful, and kind through the painful weeks where I really struggled with talking so openly (and sending close up photos to her!) of my acne to track progress. She's part therapist, part coach, part esthetician, and 100% angel. Having the support system from someone who understands how painful both physically and emotionally acne can be was a huge part of the healing process for me. It took time and dedication, but within 3 months I started to see improvements in my acne. In month 4 San Francisco allowed the AES clinic to re-open, and I was able to get my first few acne treatments. And then like magic, at the end of month 4 I had my last deep, painful, cystic breakout. It came and went, and I haven't had a single breakout for over 2 months now. I've actually cried tears of joy looking at my skin in the mirror and not feeling huge bumps on my face. I still use all the AES products and see Kimmy for regular facials. My acne scars have significantly faded and its the clearest skin I've had in 14+ years. Not only did AES and Kimmy heal my skin, but the emotional weight that's been taken off my shoulders by not stressing or daily covering up my acne is difficult to put into words. I cannot say enough about my experience at AES. Kimmy, Ellie, and their philosophy and program changed my life. I'm only sad that I didn't find AES sooner. I recommend their services, coaching, virtual program, and products wholeheartedly!!

AES is the best investment that I've made for my skin! Kimmy's program provides a holistic approach to clearing and managing acne that delivers results: my skin is finally clear and my acne is now under control. Prior to AES, I tried different treatments, products, and diets for the past 2 years but my acne and inflammation worsened. I started with AES' e-course, and my acne tremendously improved within a few months just from following its guidelines and product plan. After completing the e-course, I did the in-person treatments which accelerated the clearing process. Although the program requires adherence to the product plan and excluding triggers (no dairy, soy, etc.), it is well worth the investment of time, effort, and money. Even if you're not in the Bay Area, I would strongly recommend doing the e-course as AES not only has the products / tools to clear your skin, but most importantly provides the knowledge to manage your acne for a lifetime. Kimmy has also been extremely helpful and caring during the process, providing guidance and quick responses to any questions and concerns. Don't waste your time and money running in circles trying other products / treatments that will further harm your skin. Kimmy and AES are amazing! I did the virtual program with Kimmy and my skin is now completely clear. She helps you understand what acne actually is (I didn't know and you probably don't either!) and through her process and products you will finally actually bring up all of your old, deep acne so your skin can stop breaking out over and over. You also learn all about triggers and comedogenic ingredients and how to avoid causing acne seeds to form in the first place. By the way, she did all the ONLY via Zoom appointments. I did not have a single facial the entire time. Kimmy is the sweetest person; it's a joy to work with her. She's super responsive so if you have questions about products and ingredients she'll get back to you really quickly. I have tried every product and "trick" you've ever heard of before this and nothing ever worked. Now I don't break out at all anymore and my skin has become so much smoother as well. If you have acne, you must try the program at AES!
