I just saw Joelle and was totally impressed. She is so kind and knowledgeable. When she treated me I knew I was being treated by a real healer. I walked out a different person then when I arrived. Her office is relaxing, clean and convenient with transportation and parking garage easily accessible. I highly recommend her.

Follow up: if you were subsequently billed for charges exceeding your co-pay, please follow up with the insurance commissioner. The California Department of Insurance states that this practice, "Billing a patient more than the co-pay amount for services that were pre-paid or paid in full by the benefit plan under the terms of a managed care contract," is illegal. They will try to scare you by showing you a pdf of your signature agreeing to pay for whatever the insurance company doesn't, and try to bully you into submission. Don't fall for it. Fight back. Don't let these bullies win.

Joelle is a healer. I went to her to address debilitating hot flashes and within 3 treatments over 2 weeks, the frequency and severity of my hot flashes decreased significantly and after 5 treatments, they were gone. This was life changing as I had been experiencing 10-15 per day and countless at night impacting every aspect of my life. Joelle has been a wonderful resource for me at the end of pregnancy. She is knowledgable, warm, and kind. Her office is very relaxing and a great place to get care. Her practice is like a little sanctuary, I always leave there feeling incredibly relaxed and confident that I am on the right path to pain relief. Even though I live in the Marina and close to so many Acupuncturists, I drive across town 2 days/week to see Joelle, she is that good!
