Got ignored and dismissed by the doctor, waste of time smh 🤦♀️
Great Customer Service And Excellent Service For What I Came In For At Berman Skin Institute Highly Recommend Thank You
Dr. Pyles was great! He proactively suggested more effective and convenient treatment solutions for me that I truly appreciate. Thanks, Dr. Pyles!
My first visit at Berman Skin Institute was excellent. First, admin staff were warm and welcoming and there were no surprises. Second, Dr. Jordan was caring, informative, and made the entire experience anxiety-free and I left with a better understanding of what my situation potentially was. It was great to feel listened to and understood by Dr. Jordan, especially given my chronic issue was not taken seriously elsewhere. His “bedside” manners are wonderful.
Dr.Pyles and staff were great. They resolved my issue on my first visit. I highly recommend them.
I really wanted to like this place, however after at least two visits I feel obliged to share my experiences. The office staff is generally nice, and the office itself is clean and well designed, however two different doctors/practitioners I have met with have both been cold, and seemingly uninterested in spending more than 4-5 minutes with me in a visit. In addition, as others have mentioned, any time I have called to request a refill or ask a question about a prescription I have never once connected with someone on the phone, and after leaving four messages in two weeks I have not received a single call back. Dermatologists have to deal with some really sensitive issues patients are self conscious about, and when a patient experiences bedside manner this poor it makes it very difficult to even verbalize your concerns. This was especially true here as there was almost no questions asked, no real care in their voice or attempt to connect with their clients in any way other than "so I see you are worried about hair loss, this is your diagnosis, your options are either a or b, Ill go ahead and prescribe both. Anything else?" in such a short time frame. I dont think I have ever reviewed a doctor before, but I have had too much of a negative experience to not share.
Excellent customer service and lovely people. I will keep coming back as long as I live in SF. Very happy customer!
Highly recommend place! I like doctors here, great nurses, and admin staff. Very polite, fast and also ready to help ❤️
I like it overall. The check in processes was pretty fast and the front desk staff was very kind & helpful. Dr. Melanie and her assistant were respectful and professional. Deff coming back for further appointments related to the skin!
I had a very frustrating experience with Berman Skin Institute in San Francisco. I specifically scheduled a preventative skin exam after a referral from my PCP, but the visit was incorrectly billed as a standard office visit. Because of that error, I’ve been repeatedly sent bills that I should not be responsible for. What’s most disappointing is the complete lack of follow-through. I’ve called multiple times to explain the situation and asked them to correct and resubmit the claim to my insurance. Each time, I was told it would be handled, yet nothing has been fixed. Instead, I continue receiving incorrect bills requesting payment. This kind of administrative negligence is unacceptable, especially in healthcare where patients rely on accurate billing and clear communication. Patients should not have to chase a provider just to get a basic correction made. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this practice. If you go here, be prepared to closely monitor your billing and advocate for yourself.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
