List of Bruce N Brent's Reviews
My husband had a heart attack at the age of 38. Dr. Brent was the first to treat him in the ER. According to 3 other top cardiologists across the country the actions Dr. Brent took on that fateful day prevented considerable permanent damage to my husband’s heart. My husband has unusually small arteries and veins and the fact that Dr. Brent is able to perform angiograms and interventions over the years is testament to his incredible skill. Particularly as the other doctors couldn’t even attempt

Trust my life with Dr Brent! Those who gave less than 5 star ratings are about the reception and not the doctor.
Dr. Brent saved the life of a friend of mine and is highly respected within the medical community. I am a Patient Advocate and have accompanied patients to visits with Dr. Brent. He's consistently professional, compassionate and an excellent Cardiologist. One might misunderstand his direct communication as too blunt; I find him friendly but highly professional. Dr. Brent's office has excellent technicians who show compassion and patience while performing procedures like ekgs, echocardiograms, etc. I consider this to be of great value to patients who are often anxious and uncertain about their current health status.
Dr Bruce Brent is an excellent scientist with extensive experience and an impressive educational and administrative background. He is thorough, accurate in his diagnosis and effective in his treatment.
I was a patient of Dr. Brent for over 10 years. I would still be except that he was not included in my current insurance. I could not walk because of the pain. I was diagnosed by another doctor with a 90% artery blockage.I was told that he could try to remove it and put in a stent, but felt it was in a dangerous spot, but would try if I consented. An artery bypass was recommended.I always get a second opinion and went to Stanford Hospital where they recommended the same. Still not satisfied, I found Dr Brent. I brought him the CD with my original angiogram. He studied it and said that it was not difficult and that he could do it. My wife and I were incredulous. I asked him why he could do it and the others could not. He said that he has been performing 200 angioplasts a year for 10 years and that the others hadn't looked at the angiogram from the proper angle. He also prescribed large doses of niacin to boost my low good cholesterol which went from 22 to 60. I was 65 at the time and now 80. He has given me 15 years of an active life. I will always be indebted to Dr. Brent. He is the BESTt!!!PS. Because i was on blood thinners and have a low platelet count, he worked with my surgeon when I had a kidney operation and monitored my blood so that I wouldn't bleed excessively, something he didn't have to do.
I've been under his care since mid-2001 when I was diagnosed w Cardiomopathy so I have total trust in him. Very straighforward but usually you're in and out in 30 minutes, including the BP and weight check w the nurse assistant. I just wish he would have more time to explain and answer questions.

Overall...Dr. Brent is .... just okay. His support staff, however, SUCKS. (Can this last word be in BOLD, UNDERLINED and ITALICIZED?!??!?!???!?!)As a CURRENT patient of Dr,. Brent (one surgery and several follow-up sessions) I left a series of calls for an appointment......And got NO RETURN CALL. This was over a two month periodI have two stents - the second placed by Dr. Brent who explained that the first stent was not placed correctly (or had "shifted", or the blockage had been "displaced"...HIS terminology!?!?!? "...creating a shift in the blockage....")Bottom line - AVOID him until he separates his practice from his current group. In the meantime - before my ticker quits because - in Dr. Brent's analysis - "...your blockage is in too small an area to stent....," I'm searching for a competent cardiologist.Good luck to you.
One star only.. front office except for one lady who really knows how to run the desk, but Bruce is unfriendly, and has no idea he even has patients waiting!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
