List of Cathlin Milligan's Reviews
If Yelp allowed to rate 0 stars I would. Dr. Milligan is not a good physician. I have several health issues and have grown to depend on my specialists over the years. I had found it too cumbersome to try and find a new primary care physician. Until today, after over 10 year and I have finally left. The final straw was when I received a bill from her office for her calling me with my test results. Her staff said that was because she provided a treatment plan, she did not. In fact, my Vitamin D levels were low and she said I could ignore that. 2 of my specialists explicitly said to not ignore the low Vitamin D level and increase my dosage. Not only did she not provide proper guidance, she also didnt advise me that her calling with my test results, which I did not request her to do, would result in a bill. I will be stealing away from her as a physician. She does not provide good medical care or advice.
Her Ego or mood dictates your level of care The negative reviews are understated the positive are suspect... ~employee Cathlin Milligan is currently referred or is under investigation for abandonment of care by: Blue Shield, Healthetnet, Medicare, Mayor London Breeds office, Governor Gavin Newsom and the Medical Board of California. My GP of 17 years Abandoned my care today. Cathlin Milligan MD refused to authorize and emergency refill of my prescription for migraines Ive been on for 19 years. My prescription will run out on the 12th of April. She stated I must in no uncertain terms would not refill it unless I came in the office. I explained I would not. That would be in direct conflict to the State of Emergency. Her response sorry NO refill. I have made a complaint to the Mayors office. SF District Attorneys office. My Heath Insurance, US Government and the California Medical Board. All took the documentation. Each agency was utterly appalled. Tomorrow I will contact Governor Gavin Newsoms office (I still know people)and 7 on your side. Shes risk my health for a $10 copay and a bruised ego

Dr. Milligan has failed to meet the standard of care in providing medical care to me, in my opinion. One review stated that she was one of the absolute rudest, crass, uncaring, and most unprofessional doctors the reviewer had seen. I wish I had read that before, as my opinion does not deviate much. I had a health condition and situation that were both missed here, and when the opportunity to arose for connection, I was met with I dont know what you want me to tell you. As a professional, I am disappointed in the response and the care I received, or didnt and I would not recommend this doctor or her practice. The staff, equally rude, unprofessional and lacking in compassion.
She takes plenty of time for examination and explains problem and treatment well.
Shes the consummate professional.
please remove, error. Wrong doctor
Dr.Milligan may come across as a little reticent and astringent but over the years Ive come to appreciate her care and the time she takes with me each time I go in for a visit. Sometimes I will decline certain tests or inoculations but she never forces the issue and gently reminds me of them the next visit. I feel as if I am working in partnership with my medical provider rather than her dictating what to do. She has also given me excellent specialist referrals when I needed them her contacts have all been super competent and nice people. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Milligan as my physician.
Dr. Milligan is an exceptionally thorough and knowledgeable doctor. She is always responsive, respectful and we appreciate her candor. She is focused and serious but actually quite warm. My wife has been going to her for 22 years and highly recommended her to me when I needed to find a doctor in San Francisco. I have been seeing her for almost 10 years now. We always select our insurance plans based on keeping her as our PCP. I have read some of the negative reviews and can only think that they mostly reveal that the folks writing them do not have a clue as to what good healthcare is.
Dr. Milligan is extremely through and clinically skilled. She is genuinely concerned. I am very lucky to have her as my doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
