Booked him for video call, no med prescribed , no medical record reviewed , his answer wasnt even correct compare to my GI specialist. Tell me to ask my GI for a care plan. No need to diagnose me cause Im already on meds I need. End results : 523$ for some bullshitting. Avoid this crap.
I saw Dr. Burns through a virtual One Medical appointment today and was very grateful for his excellent bedside manor, his patience with my questions, and his clear communication of next steps. Very easy to recommend Dr. Burns!
Dr. Burns provides highquality, compassionate, and thorough care. He is knowledgeable and curious, asking necessary questions to uncover the root of symptoms to help you achieve better health. Ive been seeing him for years, and am consistently impressed with his friendly and kind bedside manner and extensive practical knowledge. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a solid primary care provider.
Best healthcare experience I have had since I was a little kid. The biggest challenge I have had with One Medical is finding the right doctor. So much so that I actually thought about leaving the service in 2020 and trying to find a regular PCP through referral. Dr. Burns changed my mind in one visit. Its amazing how the delivery of a message can change perspective. Its clear that Dr. Burns became a doctor for all the right reasons. He is thoughtful, considerate and patient. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I am so grateful that he was available for an appointment and that I was able to meet him. THIS is what healthcare should be like. Thank you Dr. Burns.
Unfortunately, I received less than antiquate care from Dr. Burns. He assured me a call with a status update on my health on Wednesday of this week and now its Friday. Ive had to call One Medical over 8 times and no one can seem to coordinate. Ive been promised a call back each time and have yet to receive single call from Dr. Burns or anyone inside the organization. This company has tarnished their reputation and Dr. Burns specifically because of very poor follow through. The lack of professionalism is amazing.
this is a HORRIBLE doctor who almost killed me with his stubbornness, INSISTING
Dr. Burns is wonderful. Hes warm and truly interested in what is going on with you, listens intently and offers recommendations/referrals. Hes the best primary care physician Ive had in San Francisco. Highly recommended!
Dr. Burns is an exceptional doctor who I feel compelled to recommend to all who are looking for an excellent doctor. First of all, hes Charlie, not Dr. Burns not a trivial indication of his attitude with patients. Friendly, open, fully informative, flexible and obviously fully in command of both his specialty and general medicine. I have always been reticent about showing up for medical exams (a habit Im trying to change) and I actually thought that I only wanted a woman doctor (Id had one for a couple of decades). This was an immediate note of humor with Dr. Burns, and I couldnt be more pleased that I shifted. One Medical is also surely unique in its friendliness and good feeling. Can you imagine?!....really LIKING to sit in a doctors waiting room? This might be your chance. Only better when you get some relaxed time to talk over medical issues with Charlie. (He will answer your emails, by the way. Also amazing, in this day and age.)
We miss DR Burns. Dr Burns was our family physician since 1978 until 2003 when he relocated to the Bay area to be closer to family. His move was our loss and the Bay areas gain. Lee Fournier, Lewiston Maine
Dr. Burns is fantastic. He is so caring and knowledgeable, and I had a wonderful appointment with him today. Id highly recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
