Dr. Kim genuinely cares about her patients! Instead of prescribing harsh medications that temporary band-aid chronic issues, Dr. Kim devises a plan to permanently correct her patient's physical well being. I developed chronic back pain from 10 years of working as a day trader on Wall Street and regularly take a multitude of prescription pain medications/muscle relaxants to endure my day to day life. Initially, I was skeptical about visiting an acupuncturist for my back but felt I was at my wits end from the discomfort. After a single session, there was an immediate sensation of relief from the years of accumulated back pain. I intend on continuing to work with Dr. Kim in order to get my pain corrected permanently.

Ann took time to understand my issues. This was my first acupuncture treatment ever, and she explained everything clearly. I asked several questions and I learned a lot from her. I was impressed with her knowledge. The treatment went well, and I saw some improvement with my symptoms the next few days. She suggested I try 3-5 more treatments, and I will be coming back soon.

I have been seeing Dr. Ann Kim for several weeks now, and she has done phenomenal things for me and my health. She has cleared up my stubborn back and shoulder pains, and has drastically reduced my anxiety levels. She is a true professional, and also very warm and friendly. I was originally skeptical about acupuncture 1) I'm terrified of needles and 2) I typically visit my MD went to my doctor regarding neck and lower back pain and a loss in mobility (it hurt to turn my neck) and I was having trouble sleeping because of the pain, my doctor typically recommends me to take a ibuprofen and stretch. I followed the instruction but it did little to help my pain. I was recently laid off due to COVID-19 and wouldn't be able to visit my primary care physician so I had nothing to lose but to give it a try. Dr. Kim greeted me at the door for my treatment, Dr. Kim took notes on where I was experiencing pain and recommended I try cupping and eased my fear of needles. While I was skeptical about results and initally ready to write it off I was suprised 1) I barely felt the needles 2) the results were noticeable, I was able to turn my neck without pain, and my back felt better than it has for weeks. I highly recommend Citylife Acupuncture and would recommend this for anyone tired of simply being told to take ibuprofen. Glad that my pain relief is being addressed and I am able to finally sleep, I will be returning again to Citylife Acupuncture even though I'm still scared of needles because it works! Dr. Kim only has clinic hours on certain days of the week so I would be sure to make an appointment in advance to book her!
