Diana Coupard's Online Review Report Card

Best Doctor I've ever had. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr Coupard as my doctor. She is the most empathetic doctor I have ever seen. I feel healed just by speaking with her. That's how it ought to be.

I love Dr. Coupard! Mind you I am a neurotic, anxious, hypochondriac person. You can only imagine how many questions and I have! Dr. Coupard has always been patient with me and sensitive to my feelings. I love having her as my primary doctor.

I suppose I've waited to give Dr Coupard a review because I wouldn't want her to get too busy to see me, but then, that's selfish of me, so here goes. I have lived in SF for seven years, and she is the second primary physician I've had. I have seen here 8 times since late 2014. I've had physicals as well as sickness visits for asthma flares , BPPV and possible diverticulitis. She is the most relatable, compassionate, smart, funny, honest (eg. she doesn't pretend to know everything in the world) gentle doctor I have had in donkey's years. I am 55 and I have seen my share of doctors here and abroad and taken my mother to many more. I know what the field looks like for better and for worse.Often one is left to choose between good practice and knowledge, and compassion and bedside manner. Not with Diana, she's the total package one wants for an internist, well, at least I want. Some folk may prefer a doctor who is more authoritarian and just pronounces over one what must be done. I prefer a doctor who will listen to my concerns but also respectfully tells me her opinion  as to what she thinks would be best. I prefer, rare though it is to find,  a doctor who looks as medical care as a co-operative team effort. Patient care is only as good as one can get the patient on board with, that's the big picture, why do so few doctors seem to get this? I will admit I am enough to drive many docs round the bend. I'm probably a difficult patient on some level. What I have a really hard time with is doctors who are excessively authoritarian. Confidence is one thing, domineering is another. I need a doctor who is not dismissive. I have always felt Dr. Coupard to be on the level, a straight shooter but patient and kind. A rare combo!Though not related to my review of Dr. Coupard, Some may be taken aback with the concierge system with one medical (though I am myself very pleased with it) as they have a 150.00 a year fee to be in their system. (I believe if one is unable to afford annual fee they have a process for helping there so do enquire) I appreciate the ease of being able to make appointments online etc. I love the office on Irving and have nothing but good to say of the staff.

I feel so lucky I got in to see Dr. Diana Coupard (she is busy for good reason!).  She is caring, extremely knowledgeable, personable, and kind.  What more could you want!  I am a doctor myself, so I can be a little picky, but Dr. Coupard is wonderful in every way.  She also doesn't make you feel rushed at all which is a big plus.  The One Medical office is beautiful, modern, and comfortable.  Such a nice addition to the Inner Sunset.
