Diokson Rena's Online Review Report Card

Great, caring medical doctor. Enjoy visiting him. Dr Rena upholds his HIPPOCRATIC OATH and takes care of his clients.  I only have positive experiences here. Sadly, conversely, some other MDs like the married couple of dentists located at Shoreview Dental@PACIFICA CA treat their  clients as cash cows with their injurious FAKE TEETH CLEANING medical scams of clients. However, Dr Rena's honest, sincere approach stands out above the others. Highly recommend.

I've struggled with a knee injury for almost 4 years now. I've been to many doctors to try and come up with a treatment plan. Believe me when I say, not only did none of those doctors help me or give me good suggestions, they didn't even examine me! Dr Rena helped me gain faith in doctors once again. He spent an hour and a half with me - both examining me, laying out all my treatment options, and the cause for my injury along with other factors that could be contributing to my knee (to include some misalignment with my hip). Other doctors who have treated me were inept, unsympathetic, cold, and quite frankly shouldn't be doctors, but not Dr Rena. I didn't feel tossed aside with him and felt that he genuinely cared for my health. I really can't express how happy I am with Dr Rena and it makes me furious that other doctors didn't take the time to help me weigh my options or even examine me thoroughly to determine additional factors or causes. I really can't recommend Dr Rena high enough.

I was referred to this doctor by my work comp insurance for EMG. I came at my scheduled time 8:30 am in pouring rain and found his office closed! I left him msg and when he called back, he did not even apologize,  sounded as if I was doing him a favor by coming. He informed me he is having car problems and his secretary did not come in... Absolutely horrible experience.

I found and went to his clinic. It's in a busy section between Union Square and Nob Hill, close to Financial District and Chinatown. The location is actually walkable and accessible to commuting, close to bus, BART and even cable car. As to the doctor visit itself, he didn't rush the examination. He answered most of my questions and is upfront and honest with them without being condescending. Over all, I was satisfied with the services I received.

Dr. Rena is simultaneously very attentive and very efficient, qualities that are essential for professionals who deal with patients with chronic conditions. Dr. Rena is easy to talk to and will spend the necessary time with you during each visit... he is also, however, conscious of your time and makes an effort not to keep you there longer than necessary. Dr. Rena works hard to accommodate his patients' schedules, fitting them in on weekends or last-minute when an issue unexpectedly arises. Dr. Rena's staff is also wonderful - they are kind and attentive and always pleasant (whether by phone or in-person). Going to the doctor, especially for chronic conditions, can be unpleasant, but Dr. Rena and his staff somehow make each visit a good experience.

Great Service from both very helpful staff and Dr. Rena.  He spent a huge amount of extra time with me and my many questions.  He cares about his patients.  Very reasonable prices...I know because with my insurance I had to pay cash.  Worth every penny.  Highly recommend....

I went to see Dr. Rena on a Saturday morning. He spent an entire hour listening to me and taking notes about the symptoms I was experiencing. He then suggested getting a cortisone injection for my coccydynia. He thoroughly explained the procedure and answered all my questions patiently. I was moving to the east coast that week and Dr. Rena made sure that I got the procedure as soon as possible. He was also very kind and helpful once I moved to the new place and got back to me within a day whenever I had questions. I was in a lot of pain and have been doing very well with my tailbone pain after the procedure.I highly recommend Dr. Rena! He really cares about his patients and takes the time to discuss the best possible treatment option. He is professional and caring!

I had 2 epidurals, 1 set of facet injections and 1 set of radio frequency ablations administered by Dr.Rena.  He is very professional, slightly reserved but otherwise impressive Doctor.

Dr. Rena is a very caring, professional and knowledgeable doctor. My boyfriend hesitated to go to him after reading a negative review on this site, but my friend's experience was the opposite of the other review. The exam was very complete and the office staff was great! Dr. Rena has a slight accent but speaks slowly and clearly and we both found his English easy to understand.

His English is bad, could not understand what he was implying. Very unprofessional, anxious and frustrated rushed with my consultation. He said he had other patients to see. When told him about pain I was feeling he dismissed it and said it was not nerve pain but maybe Cancer??? He did not get out of his chair to even examine what I was pointing at...I wanted to leave. Worst doctor ever!!! Worse than Kaiser, don't go to him! Save your time, he is not going to help, he hates his job and you will leave feeling worse. He denies your pain.
